I really really like this series. The book is my favorite book ever and I was afraid that they would mess it up but they didn't. They did make a lot of changes in the story which can be frustrating but it was still good. Why did they make Tian Bo Guang or Monk Cannot Have No Commandments and Elder Bamboo Green die?

Ren Ying Ying is such a cool character. The Six Peach Tree Fairies are really funny and so is Ling Hu Chong. These characters really make the story great.

The casting for this movie was really good. Ying Ying's character was portrayed really well as was Ling Hu Chong's. The Six Peach tree fairies, the Yue Family, Lin Pin Zhi, and Ren Wo Xing were all portrayed very well. The actor for Xiang Wen Tian was too young as were 3 of the 4 playfellows of Jianghu - more specifically Mr. Paint, Mr. Black-White, and the calligraphy brother Mr. Brush or something like that.

One of the few things that I didn't like was a lot of funny parts in the book were made unfunny. Like how Ling Hu Chong found out that Ying Ying was not an old granny but only 19 years old.

Okay, this part is just plain weird. Ling Hu Chong was not even supposed to know that there was such a person as The Sacred Lady and the hologram or whatever it was of Ying Ying was not necessarily that bad, just weird.

A great series! I definitely recommend it though if you are not sure that you want to buy it you can always rent it if you have Netflix.
