Brief Synopsis

Hee-Soo is born with a silver spoon since birth; she has always been sheltered by her grand father, President of the largest corporation in Korea. Wu-Jin is a playboy who had just returned from the United Kingdom. They met in the weirdest situation and ended up with a relatively bad start. Hee-Soo ended up causing Wu-Jin to lose a large contract deal, which resulted in her having to be at Wu-Jin's beck and call until she repays him. At this point, Wu-Jin does not know Hee-Soo's real identity. Slowly Wu-Jin helps Hee-Soo to see the real world outside the world that her grandfather has created for her.

Later, Wu-Jin and Hee-Soo parted on a bad note but they met again via Chan-Ho and Hee-Soo's identity is revealed.

Chan-Ho grew up with Hee-Soo and thus was treated as a younger brother by her. Yet Chan-Ho has feelings for Hee-Soo that are more than a sister.

The story revolves mostly around the relationship between Hee-Soo and Wu-Jin, and how they are trying to be together despite the objections from both families. This is quite a typical Korean Drama :)

Thoughts

This is a very romantic and funny drama series. I like the chemistry between Kim Jung Eun and Jung Joon Ho. I read from somewhere that they had also acted in a hit movie film, "Marrying the Mafia", which might explain why they had a great connection.

As the story progresses, I am able to see how Jung Joon Ho's character, Wu-Jin, changes. He was so fierce to Hee-Soo at the beginning, always ordering her around and trying to make things difficult for her. And he treats dating as a game: he has a fixed routine at each date, when to do this, when to do that and when to stop. As the story progresses, we can see how Wu-Jin changes as he tries different means and ways to be with Hee-Soo.

I'm glad that this series, like "Lovers in Paris", does not wait until the last episodes to reveal the character's feelings for each other. This allows the audience (me) to slowly verify and appreciate the feelings they have for each other, by seeing how happy they are being together.

I don't know why there were so many bad reviews of this drama series because I really like it! Some parts might have been too exaggerated and don't make sense, but this is a romantic comedy, enjoy it! And I really did, I laughed so hard and went "awww" at the show so many times.

I am tempted to give it 4.5 stars because there are some parts where I think it was a little bit draggy, but the main characters have given me so much entertainment I'll give it a 5 stars. If you love laughing and romance, you will love this show.

I love Wu-Jin's sense of humor and the way he teases Hee-Soo. I love the many things they have done and sacrificed for each other. I'm a sucker for romance!

My absolute favorite parts

-> Hee-Soo at Wu-Jin's beck and call
-> Wu-Jin teaching Hee-Soo how to play the baseball
-> During a thunderstorm when Hee-Soo revealed to Wu-Jin that she likes him
-> Their first date together, it was really funny to see all the many "little sisters" Wu-Jin has, and how jealous Hee-Soo was
-> Wu-Jin on the phone with Hee-Soo (Hee-Soo in the telephone booth and Wu-Jin just outside)
-> Hee-Soo initiating a kiss with Wu-Jin
-> When Hee-Soo thought Wu-Jin was going to commit suicide and revealed that she loves him
-> When Wu-Jin and Hee-Soo went on a road trip together after she ran away from her engagement
-> Last part where Wu-Jin saved Hee-Soo from a dashing car, and ended up in an awkward position. It was so funny when Hee-Soo thought he was going to kiss her but he did not (not until the absolute end) and the expression on her face was priceless!
