Stairway to Heaven

I gave in to watching this serial because my girlfriend said that she fell in love with the leading man, Kwon Sang Woo. I needed to see for myself how charming this guy is. Well, he sure is oh, so good looking and I even went to bed remembering his face! However, I must say that with this Korean serial (I've watched other Korean soapies like Autumn in my Heart, Winter Sonata), I think I'm going to stop watching Korean love stories. They are so cruel, so sadistic and leave a viewer with a sense that love stories never have good ending. I'm beginning to think: Are the love stories of Koreans all so tragic? It's all well that I cried buckets through some episodes but please, give me a break. Give me a happy ending. Don't we all believe, or at least would like to believe, in miracles?

Also, I find some of the scenes in Stairway unrealistic. The scriptwriter seems to be missing some stuff - see other comments made by other viewers on this site. There was even a scene when I spotted that Kwon Sang Woo changed into a different outfit when he was inside and outside the house by the beach. I believe this happened because filming took place at different times but this was one obvious mistake.

Scriptwriters, producers and directors of Korean love serials please take note: for the sake of viewers, please give us a happy ending. Make the world a happier place. Otherwise, who dares fall in love? True love reigns here on earth - not necessarily ending in death and then meeting in heaven.
