Lee Hyori is a South Korean singer and occasional television actress who first came to stardom as one-quarter of the Korean pop girl-group called Fin.K.L., and is now the highest-earning female singer in the country. Born in 1979, she was both the eldest member of Fin.K.L., and the final member to join, after she was discovered by chance in a shopping mall. After the five-album dramatic success of Fin.K.L. they parted ways in 2002 to pursue solo careers (while never officially breaking up). Her first solo album was 2003's Stylish...E, for which she won many Daesang Awards. The album sold extremely well, and the media dubbed 2003 as "The Year of Hyori" to celebrate their constant attention to her through the entire year. Her success has continued through two more solo releases, while she's constantly developed her "sexy superstar" image on television as well, on several drama series and now as a permanent hostess / participant in the Sunday show Family Outing.
