Korean Title: "Daenseo-ui sunjeong"

In a nutshell:
The story starts off with Na Young-Sae injuring his leg during a competition and losing his partner to a rival dancer. After some time, his brother gets a Chinese bride to be his new dance partner. However, Jang Chae-Ryn (played by Moon Geun-Young) who has no dance experience, turns up in place of her sister. Her sister has backed out of the marriage due to the disapproval of her fiance.

After some events, Young-Sae decides to train Chae-Ryn to take part in the a national dance competition. As time goes by, they grow closer and develop feelings for each other. As the competition nears, Young-Sae's rival once again tries to steal Young-Sae's partner. All these lead to a horrible loss for YS and to the separation of the couple.

There's also a subplot of two police officers investigating fraud marriages.

My Thoughts:
It's light-hearted and entertaining.

The performances put up by the actors are good and, to a certain extent, keep the moving going. Moon Geun-Young showed the personality of her character well, and her Yonbian-accented Korean was adorable. Park Geon Hyeong also did a pretty good job as Young-Sae- he managed to show the way Young-Sae changed: from a man who is cold and abandoned of hope to slowly cheering up, and how Young-Sae slowly grows warmer towards Chae-Ryn.

Some parts of the movie were fairly predictable, but were saved by the chemistry between the actors, the stunning dances and some comical moments.

However, the scriptwriters have left a loophole by the sudden disappearance of the two police officers investigating fraud marriages. It was an anti-climax ending for that subplot.

I felt that the ending was a little disappointing. It felt a little open-ended, with the "baddie' (Young-Sae's rival) getting away with everything he did, and I thought it was a little rushed. This might be due to an attempt to make the ending unconventional.

All in all, I think it is good light-hearted movie worth watching.
