His previous films like Shaolin soccer are way better. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone but if you're a true Stephen Chow fan, then watch it. Kung Fu Hustle was extremely funny. I had never seen Stephen Chow's other movies so this was extremely creative and whacky to me. I'm told that this is only an average work, but if this is average that I can't wait to see his other stuff.
