Synopsis:
Old Boy is a mindbending revenge story that touches on some of the deepest taboos of humanity. It concerns a businessman who is kidnapped and imprisoned in a room for fifteen years. He has no contact with the outside world other than a television. While imprisoned, he learns that he has been framed for the death of his wife, and he loses all track of his young daughter. Staving off madness, he trains himself in martial arts day in and day out, waiting for the day when he will escape and have his revenge. One day fifteen years later he falls unconscious and wakes up someplace else, with no idea how he got there. The rest of the film recounts his quest to solve the mystery of his captivity and to have his revenge. Meeting up with a pretty young sushi chef who agrees to help him, he embarks on a journey that takes him places he never imagined it would, and that may make him regret seeking answers in the first place...
