Secret Service of the Imperial Court

Many people like Shaw Brothers for their "kung fu" movies, but it's their excellent wuxia stories like Secret Service of the Imperial Court (a.k.a. "Police Pool of Blood") that made me an avid fan. Once again director Lu Jun Gu (Bastard Swordsman, Three Evil Masters) creates another unforgettable bittersweet tragedy in the best tradition of wuxia, which is just my thing. Of course, Leung Kar Yan is one of my favourite actors of all time....
