This is a must see movie. One of the best Asian movies I've ever seen. The plot as well as the scenes are magnificent. This is an action film that is somewhat melodramatic, especially the ending. It is a story of revenge and how this influences the characters' way of living.
Two sisters (Shu Qi and Vicki Zhao) grew up with hatred and the desire to seek vengeance. They witnessed the murder of their parents and this incident leads them to be tough and even work as assassins. The elder sister does not want her younger sister to be like her and yet her sister is taking the same path.
You will be excited by the fast-paced action. The fighting scenes were great and cool. The ladies were alluring and you will be stunned by their beauty while fighting. You just can't take your eyes off your screen.
What makes me like this movie is the storyline itself and the fighting scenes. It is a realistic one and it reflects the greedy and rotten society, where injustice can ruin and wreck one's life. The sisters want vengeance because they want justice for their family. They put it in their hands because of the corrupt society that can't be trusted. Who would blame them? They use the rule of "an eye for an eye and a life for a life". But for the justice they seek, they have to live like fugitives.
In the end, killing the people who killed their parents, does it give them happiness and peace? Definitely not because this only leads to a neverending cycle of seeking vengeance. The lesson of the story was said by the lead actress: a seed that was showered with blood will die with blood. How you live your life will definitely be the cause of your death. If you live in violence, then you will die through it.
This movie is so cool and you will be left amazed in every scene. I highly recommend this movie. It is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. It's worth it. You may even want to watch it over and over again. Credit should be given to the crew and of course the characters. They made up a good team. They were all gorgeous!
