About the title: I couldn't find the Korean or Chinese title. I agree with those who believe that the odd title refers to the present continuous tense of the English language, as in "eat-ing", "liv-ing", "danc-ing", etc. and refers to living life day by day and life in its continuous nature. honestly when i first read the plot, i was kinnda iffy on watching the film. I thought it would be like A walk to rem. or the Notebook. However after watching the movie i had this sad feeling that was being overpowered by joy. This movie was unbelivable, when the movie ended my eyes began to hurt due to all the crying i have done.i enjoyed the way the movie contained secret little clues that enabled the readers to feel like their inside the characters mind and reading their personal thoguths and opinions. The actors did an extrodianry job with their performance,i personally began to belive the characters were trully in love in the real world and the mother and dauther were really related! By far this is the saddest movie i have ever watched. It is a far better dramatic/ romance film then any made in the states, since this film opened up the viewers eyes to a society and culture that differs from their own. This caused me to be more envolved with the movie and attracted to it since i wanted to learn more about some of the tarditions they may have illustrated in the nove. I higly recommand this film to any body who likes to watch a movie that causes them to think about whats trully going on with the world and the people around us. THIS IS A MUST SEE!

I watched this movie on TV and had to use the fast forward button a LOT. It seems so contrived, trying to make the viewer sad or worse cry. The theme of 'the dying days' is now so common that it takes a really good script to make it enjoyable to watch. This is so ho hum. The good looking guy who was roped in to give happy times to a dying girl, I wasn't even sorry for him, even though Rae Won is a good actor. The lead actress was cute, but there was nothing to the movie. Cheap stuff. Very disappointing.
