The sequel starts off when Sam Yuen is finally promoted to the head of the traffic police department. Siu Sang still cannot forget his old love. Sam Yuen and Cheng Fung are happily married with two kids.

A new member named Wai Ying Ji joins the Traffic Police department. She always seems to get into some sort of trouble and is always hauled into Sam Yuen's room for scolding. She also hits off badly with Siu Sang and they never fail to bicker whenever they see each other.

Later as time goes on, Ying Ji finally gets into Sam Yuen's good books and they become very close friends. However one misunderstanding causes Ying Ji to leave the Traffic Police Department and join Siu Sang's CID department. They find each other unreasonable until Siu Sang saves Ying Ji in one of the cases. They become good friends after that and Siu Sang becomes Ying Ji's mentor and counsellor when she has problems with her newly-found boyfriend, Winson.

Meanwhile, Sam Yuen and Cheng Fung's marriage life is not as smooth-sailing as one thinks. They always quarrel over the kids' education. When Sam Yuen indirectly causes her son to get killed, Cheng Fung cannot forgive her...

This series is very light-hearted, yet action-packed. It is very fast-paced and would leave the viewer panting after each episode. However, there are some emotional scenes and tragedies in between the series.

The scriptwriters cannot seem to get Sam Yuen out of her "pity-worm" (literally in Chinese) system. In Armed Reaction 2, she was raped. Here, her son was killed and her daughter later kidnapped. I really pity Cheng Fung a lot, having to share all these heartaches even though it is not his fault.

I found the scenes with Ying Ji and Siu Sang most entertaining. Being experienced actors, they have a lot of chemistry together. They are really very funny when they bicker.

The bad thing I found very annoying is that the trailer revealed too much of the plot. For example it showed that Sam Yuen's son died and that Ying Ji will not end up with Winson. Also, it showed that Ying Hong will remarry in the end. This spoilt the suspense of the show.

I found Sam Yuen's character especially annoying. She is always telling Ying Ji time and again not to be rash or make rash decisions, yet she herself does not practice what she preaches. How could she leave her son ALL ALONE in the store to chase after a suspect?!

On the whole, I found this series very entertaining. It is a must-watch for all Armed Reaction fans.
