Plot:
Bobby, Michael and Benz are three best friends working together to run a famous casino in the Philippines. Their friendship starts to shatter when Michael became obsessed with beating Bobby in life. The two best friends finally turned into enemies when Jessica and Bosco enter the picture.

Jessica is a gambling addict that falls for Michael and befriends Bobby. However she later finds herself torn between the two, unable to decide which one she loves more.

Bosco is Jessica's neighbor who turns out to be Bobby's long lost brother. Even though he tries to accept his older brother, he fails. Instead, he finds comfort in Michael, who was actually using him to defeat Bobby.

Characters/ Performance: (Note: all the character went from “like” to “annoy” throughout the whole series with me)

Bobby Au-Yeung
He starts out as the “unlucky star” but at the end realizes that he has been the luckiest person of all. He hates himself for losing his brother so he dedicated his whole life to finding him again. However, all his hope is crushed when he discovers that his best friend and his brother had teamed up to bring him down. Bobby is one of my favorite actors so this might sound biased. His performance was excellent in my book. His crying scene was really convincing. I enjoyed watching his character's struggles and triumphs over all the obstacles he faces. How did he annoy me? When he keeps trying to run his brother's life, it's nice that he cares and all but he did not need to have complete control over Bosco like that.

Michael Miu
He appears to be a good man on the outside but on the inside he is an evil villain, waiting to push people out of his way to the top. His character annoyed me because he became crazy over beating Bobby. There wasn't even a good reason to why he wanted to compete with Bobby. This is my first time seeing Michael as a villain and I have to admit that he did a good job. Even though I hated his character, I liked his performance. His crying scene was wonderful, his tears even looked real. No wonder he is a TVB veteran.

Jessica Hsuan
Her character was my favorite character at the beginning of the series but then all that love for her went away. I did not like how she kept going back and forth between Michael and Bobby. Make up your mind girl! Jessica did a good job in this series too. Her acting was really convincing. She proved that she can do drama as well as humor.

Bosco Wong
He starts off as the low-esteemed nobody that discovers his card playing skills by accident. He was funny and cute at the beginning. His character annoyed me when he abandoned his own brother to follow Michael. Everyone told him that Michael was a bad person but he ignored them and obeyed Michael anyways. Bosco did a good job in here. Personally I think that his dramatic (kind of villain-like) acting was better in "Life Made Simple". In here he just acted like a puppet, he basically just did everything that Michael did so his acting was kind of like an imitation of Michael's too.

Tavia Yeung
Jessica's cousin who dreams of being rich. I did not like her character at all until the near end. She was so shallow and cheap! How could Bosco's character think she was a good person? My annoyance with her just went away when she realizes that she truly loves Bosco's character. Her acting was alright to me. Since I was too distracted by the fact that I couldn't stand Mei I didn't pay much attention to her.

Benz Hui
He was so good in here! All he wanted was to have his friends back but it ended up tragically. His acting has really impressed me in here. He was funny and serious. His death almost made me cry.
