Summary Damian Lau portrayed Raymond Lam's competitive, ruthless Second Uncle in this drama. Damian heads their family corporation, ousted Raymond's dad from the corporation and inherently caused his death. The drama started off with Damian constantly at odds with Raymond and his mother; because Damian would resort to all means to snatch away the only factory which Raymond's dad left to them in order to close a lucrative deal for the corporation. The plot starts to intrigue when we find out along...

Storyline wasn't too special but two factors made it interesting to watch to say the least. Damian Lau's performance was outstanding as usual though not really a breakthrough role. Also, Raymond's chemistry with Zhao Ziqi was pretty good as well.

The girl that played Yiu Kwan (Vionn Song) was simply horrendous. Her character should have just been written out of the story as it was unnecessary to continue the plot. It might have been her first time acting?

The series was really draggy and predictable. I predicted the entire series after only watching the 6 or 7 ep. Watch this series if you like the cast otherwise skip it and watch something else.

This series is pretty draggy, but the overall storyline is still acceptable. I can finish watching it, but I won't want to rewatch it a second time. Am I the only one who likes Raymond Lam more in here than in MOL?

I actually enjoyed this TVB series despite all the negative commentary in the media. The series was well-written and poignant. It conveyed a strong meaningful message about life. I thought the acting in this series was primarily fantastic. Damian Lau was at his spectacular best. Raymond Lam delivered a great performance. I disagree with the negative publicity surrounding his acting. May be his only weakness is his inability to connect with his female counterparts, which is not all his fault. Other veterans such as Dominic Lam, Cecilia Yip Tung, Lui Yau Wai were all fabulous. Where the acting was average, it came from Bosco Wong, Toby Leung, Zhao Zi Qi and Vionn Song. In all fairness though, Bosco Wong had a difficult role of a person who begins with a good heart but is quickly poisoned by his own jealously. I thought the music, lightning, camera work and script all complemented the acting well to strike an emotional chord with the audience. Overall, I think series is 17/20.

I've enjoyed this series. The style is a bit different from the normal TVB series because it is a collaboration with Mainland, but it is still good. The male cast was really strong in their acting. A very touching series and I think quite a good one with good morales.
