The Main Story

The main story consists of the relationships between Michelle, Raymond and Rain. The series starts off with Raymond living on an isolated island (snake island, he calls it), with his Si-Fu (master). But then his Si-Fu is killed while practicing his martial arts. Before he dies, he tell Raymond to find Lui Sei Leung (the leader of Mong Shan Pai) to cure him as he is also learning the same kind of martial arts.

When Raymond arrives at the Central Plains the first of the character he meets is Michelle (I liked the way Michelle comes floating down with the snow falling, it looks subtle and a different way to appear in the first scene). Michelle is there to have a fight with 3 other guys, (Raymond was asleep in the tree but was woken by the 3 guys talking among themselves). The fight breaks out and Michelle kills two (I think) and the other one gets away after Raymond intervenes.

I think I’ll leave you to watch the rest!

The love
Michelle fell in love with Raymond, as did Rain. Simple. Actually, not at all. The love triangle is as follows:
*Michelle Loves Raymond
*Rain Loves Raymond
*Raymond doesn’t seem to know whom he loves

Michelle’s Love
I think Michelle loves Raymond deeply (you can tell by ALL the things she did for him, she even threw her life away to allow Raymond to be able to continue his!)

Raymond’s Love
Even though he’s not sure whom he loves, I think he likes Rain more (Michelle fans don’t kill me, I’m a fan of hers too!).

Rain’s Love
From this girl all you know is she likes Raymond. Her acting’s not good enough to tell you how much. Her story line isn’t that good either.

Michelle’s Acting
101%. Even though sometimes she looked a bit emotionless, I think it was meant to be that way because she’s an assassin, an they aren’t supposed to be emotional as it would get in the way of their ruthless fighting and killing.

Her facial expressions were good (sometimes even made me laugh, especially when she wanted to get her own back at Raymond!), her crying scenes were good too (my tears came falling and I really felt sorry for her in the last episode!), her smile... I think she has a lovely smile! :) Her costumes were okay, I really liked her wedding dress and her hair made her look especially young and cute!

Raymond’s Acting
He was more or less like Wong Po Siu Wah in Eternal Happiness just with a different hairstyle and costume. His acting was good 100% (what happened to the 1%?) Well, I thought his crying, or lack of crying in the last episode made me just leave it at 100%, his facial expressions were good in the way they made you see that he was sad. But when he and Michelle were drinking the wedding wine, he looked like he was going to smile, or actually he did smile but controlled himself. But on the whole he made a Great Gam Sai Wai!

Rain’s Acting
Not to be horrible or anything but is this girl a walking, talking wooden puppet? Her voice had no emotion whatsoever when she delivered her lines! When she fainted, it was sooo unrealistic! Even Jenny Shing can do better than her (even though she isn’t in this series!) Not much to comment on for her. Sorry if any of her fans don’t agree with what I wrote but that is just my opinion. :)

Mimi Lo’s Acting
She’s better than Rain, that all I can say. She is also VERY funny, she and Chan Kwok Bong are just such a funny and argumentative couple! :D Her acting was good too but I didn’t really like her costume though!

Chan Kwok Bong’s Acting
He was FUNNY! Like I said I enjoyed watching then 2 argue and then become a couple!

I’m not going to comment on all the actors and actresses, but they all did a good job! Their acting was good except the girl who acted as Fiona Yuen's helper; she was a little wooden too.

Favourite scenes~
~ Every time Michelle and Raymond were together, especially when they were on the island and their 2 wedding scenes, and the bit where Michelle played a trick on Raymond again on their first wedding night.

~ When we see Mimi Lo and Chan Kwok Bong argue (you can’t miss it, it's sooo funny :D

~ It might seem strange but I liked Michelle’s dying scene, and the bit after where Raymond and Michelle’s body are on the raft and he decides to go back to the island where they were happiest...

Least Favourite Scenes~
~ Whenever Rain appears. Watching her deliver her lines was Boring to me!

~ When Raymond slaps Michelle (I was so angry and him and felt so sorry for Michelle!)

Should you watch it?
Why not? It isn’t a masterpiece but it isn’t a waste of money either! Raymond and Michelle Fans should enjoy it. (Michelle fans and people who cry easily may need tissues at the end!)
