Men Don't Cry

To be honest, I can't understand this show, especially the ending. All I know is that the main character (Dayo Wong) was a village bully, he extorted protection money, he cheated and lied, he did all the evil things.

He met Cecilia Yip by chance, then cheated her by making her fall for him, then humiliated her in public. However, throughout the show, one can see why he became a bully - because of his bad childhood, how he tried to please but ended up being abandoned, thus he decided to be heartless and terrorise others so as to be strong. Not a good way, but understandable.

Of course, Cecilia Yip was badly hurt by him, so she turned her attention to Wong Fei Hung, a good man, but too boring for her liking. Even though she tried giving him a chance, she still could not forget the romance and excitement she felt when dating Dayo Wong.

Later on throughout the show, Dayo Wong actually turned good. I can't remember what it was that made him turn good, it could be the advises of Wong Fei Hung, or it could be the influence of his so-called "father". But whatever it was, he became a spy for the good guys and tried to flush out the bad guys' activities once and for all.

As I said, I don't quite understand this show, so I can't really comment much on the plot and characters. The ending was also totally abrupt, no one knew what happened to the rest of the people - did they survive? Did Cecilia Yip and Wong Fei Hung ended up together? Or did she and Dayo Wong found each other again?

Don't take my review as gospel truths. Rent or buy the series yourself and watch it. Who knows, you may like it better than me, or understand it better than me!
