Once again, Wayne and Sheren do not fail expectations but rather exceed them with solid performances that brought their characters to life. Of course the story was only made possible by Lee Tim Sing who coordinated the story very well as producer and an excellent script written by Cheung Wah Biu. The rest of the supporting cast was very strong as well with little left to demand more out of this drama.

Definitely best drama of 2010! This drama has a very engaging storyline with many unexpected twists and turns when you least expect it.

Top-notch acting can be found in here! Everybody, from the supporting to the lead roles, really gave very heart-felt performances which is sorely lacking in TVB dramas nowadays.

This is a very well-executed drama. It's not easy to surpass the predecessor, especially given all the hype and expectations surrounding it, but I can say, with conviction, that this drama has fulfilled the all expectations that people have for it.

Actually, I have some words for TVB. If you really try and put your heart to it, you are really capable of producing very good dramas. No Regrets is just one example of a classic that has been missing from TVB for years.

Please produce more quality dramas TVB! You are definitely capable of it!

this drama is EPIC! sheren tang was PHENOMENAL as cheng kau mui, while wayne lai brought out lau sing's anguish and sufferings very well. AMAZING performances by the rest of the cast, esp pierre ngo as the timid and cowardly tong kat, evergreen mak as the irritating and cowardly antagonist, fala chen as lau sing's sick sister and the list just goes on.

my special thanks to the japanese soldiers who had to use real japanese to speak. i really admire them for their professionalism! :D

NR is definitely TVB's drama of the year 2010. no other drama comes close to it on the level of dedication, epicness and professionalism!

once again, producer lee has did it with rosy business, and sealed his name as the "GOLDEN PRODUCER" with great dramas like AFOS and NR. mr lee has done it again! :D

may i give special mention to the background music? it's really good!! :D :D

overall, a must-watch, esp when quality of tvb dramas are going downhill.

actually, i thought i won't enjoy it. i had zero interest in this drama because i don't like dramas of this time period. my dad rented the dvds, so i managed to watch it with him. it was really surprisingly good. as someone who watched this first before i watched rosy business, i actually like this one a lot better, probably because sheren has really made this her role and nailed it perfectly. the rest of the cast gave very stellar performances as well, but i felt that some characters were not as developed as i would like it though.

i dun think this drama is for everyone because it gets quite depressing at times, but this is a very moving portrayal of how people and how life was like during war. after watching the last episode, i felt as if i have lived with the characters for the past 50 years. this is how great an impact this drama has made on me.

the casts and crew deserve their awards. very well-deserved!
