Riches and Stitches

When this serial first came out, I couldn't wait to watch it because there seemed to be a lot of familiar faces. It didn't disappoint me when I actually watched the serial. Even though there were some parts I thought to be ridiculous, overall it was good.

CAST:
Kong Wah - He was amazing! I thought he portrayed a triad leader in the movie very well. I really love him in the serial. I dont know why TVB doesn't give him more opportunities in order for him to show his true talents. His emotions, his anger, and his love toward Anne Heung touched me deeply. I wanted to watch every single scene that had him in it. He is a true actor. 5/5

Moses Chan - I don't really know what to say about Moses because I haven't seen a lot of serials that have him in it. However, I thought he did a good job with his role. Sometimes his acting was a little stiff, but he portrayed his role well. I thought the way he treated Gigi was a little cold. Even though she had done so many things for him, it didn't even touch his heart. He always loved Anne, and that bothered me a lot. 4/5.

Marco Ngai - I didn't know how he turned so evil. The plot didn't make any sense at all. He was so nice and so naive in the beginning, but at the end, he was a true villain. He didn't even have the nerve to kill an evil person at first, but later he could kill anyone when he felt like it. I just don't understand why and how. However, he did a very good job being a villain. He should get an award for it. I think TVB needs to have these kinds of awards. 4.5/5

Michael Tong - I felt sorry for Michael in this series because he died in such a pity death. He didn't know what to do with his life at the beginning, but when he realized and learned to be a filial son and know where he was going with his life, he had to die. It was sad. His acting has improved a little. 4/5

Anne Heung - I dont know why there are so many people who don't like Anne Heung. I thought that her acting has improved dramatically. When comparing her acting in "The legend of Lady Yang" and in this serial, she has learned much. Her acting is not as stiff as before. I thought she did a good job in this series. However, I thought it was unfair to Kong Wah because he loved her with all his heart, and all she thought about was Moses. She should return his love because after all, Moses should love Gigi. 4/5

Gigi Lai - Gigi is a very good actress. She is very good in here. However, I was a little annoyed by her tears. I thought her acting was a little exaggerated. She was trying too hard to be real. I mean, she cried too much over small things. I felt sorry for her because she did so many things for Moses and at the end he still considered her as his little sister. Even though he had a little feeling for her at the end after she took the bullet for him, his feelings toward Anne were stronger. 4/5

Melissa Ng - I have never seen Melissa in these kinds of roles before. So when I saw her, I was impressed. However, I didn't really like the dancing moves. I thought she was a little stiff sometimes. She fell in love with the wrong guy (Marco), which is sad. 4/5

The ending was kind of whack. I hate these kinds of endings. It seems like TVB is running out of ideas on how to end a series. So far, most of the series that I've seen from TVB have these kinds of ending. I know that it's an open ending, but maybe people don't want to guess. They want the company to complete the series or the storyline. I know it's creative in a way, but dont you think that after seeing so many similar endings, you are kind of tired of it? I was so mad when the series ended like that: not knowing who Anne would end up with (Kong Wah or Moses). Both of them stopped by her place, she looked up, and the series ended! However, Kong Wah was heading toward her place first... so my guess would be Kong Wah! But, I think that TVB should learn to complete a storyline.

Overall, those who haven't watched this series should rent it and give it a try. I believe that you won't regret it. I really enjoyed watching the series, especially Kong Wah!
