'Brothers of Liangshan - joined in life and death. Meeting again in the next reincarnation, they continue the will of the gods.'

Cast:
Julian Cheung
Wong Hei
Gigi Lai
Tavia Yeung
Yuen Wah
Halina Tam

Characters:
Dong Chung Chuo (Julian Cheung) is an undercover cop with a memory of his past life as Wu Chung. He is funny and smart. He easily manipulates Song Po (Yuen Wah) into taking a liking to him and trusting him and letting him know many of the triad's businesses. He is also very sweet towards Nichole (Gigi Lai). At first he is a very reserved and quiet person. Later he changes because he needed to change for being undercover.

Lam Zhi Chung (Wong Hei) is also a cop. He is on the case of Song Po as well. At first he hates Dong Chung Chuo but later, when Dong Chung Chuo helps him recover his memory of his past life as Lam Chung, he begins to work with him to arrest the triads. At the beginning he is a very playboyish type. But once he realises he was Lam Chung, he begins to change into a more reserved guy.

Nichole (Gigi Lai) is an owner of a club and a host on a radio show about relaionships. She dresses in a way that makes her look very flirty and attractive to men. But the fact is that she just likes to dress like that. She has a very sweet storyline with Dong Chung Chuo. Even though Dong Chung Chuo has a shadow of her being Poon Gam Lin in her past life, she still loves him.

Siu Sin (Tavia Yeung) is a traditional chinese doctor. She is a very reserved person when it comes to love and is very caring towards her brother and her parents. She is also very caring towards her friends. She is very innocent and has no clue what goes on in the triads. She has a very sweet relationship with Dong Chung Chuo, who is one of her best friends, and with Lam Zhi Chung because she is deeply in love with him.

The Twist:
This is a whole show filled with weird twists. Half-way through the series Dong Chung Chuo's undercover identity is exposed and throughout the second half it seemed like Lam Sir is undercover for the triad leader. Somewhere in the middle Nichole turns out to be Song Po's daughter. And a very tragic and romantic tale of Song Po and Lai Bing is told. Song Po's minion Jun Lao turns out to be evil and Janet, Song Po's wife, is the fiancée of Jun Lao.

Chemistry:
Julian and Gigi
They are so sweet together. From the beginning he disliked her and she disliked him. When they got together in the middle it was the sweetest thing. When Gigi discovered that Julian was lying to her and did not have any feelings for her she was terribly hurt. The second half of the show showed Julian continually denying his feelings for Gigi. But the end was extremely sweet. It was a good job by both actors.

Julian and Tavia
They were not extremely sweet but they were pretty cute. When Julian said that he only became a police officer because Tavia thought to be a police officer, it was sweet.

Wong Hei and Gigi
At the beginning it was funny how he kept getting rejected. But then when they was going to get married you just wanted to throw something at the TV. Didn't like them together that much.

Wong Hei and Tavia
She liked him so much yet he didn't like her as much. He only started liking her when he saw how much she cared for him. But he still didn't say anything until the very end when after he realised his feelings when he shot her.

Performaces:
Julian Cheung
Brilliant job by Julian. He did the role of Dong Chung Chuo well. He was funny and the undercover scenes were done to perfection. He also did the Wu Chung scenes quite well.

Wong Hei
He did an OK job. The first half for him was better though. Once he discovered he was Lam Chung in his past life, he became sort of robotic.

Gigi Lai
She did a pretty good job. She played the role well. She was a little more likeable here than in War and Beauty. I liked her here.

Tavia Yeung
This is the first time I've seen Tavia in a show despite her having been in quite a few. I thought she did a fair job at it. The nerdy school teacher look doesn't really fit her but it was bearable, I guess. I liked her character OK.

Best Scenes:
1. Any scene between Wong Sir and Dong Chung Chuo. So funny.
2. The series of scenes when Dong Chung Chuo was trying to convince Lam Sir that he was Lam Chung in his past life.
3. The ending when the plot was unfolding.
4. The ending between Dong Chung Chuo and Nichole. So Sweet.
5. When Tavia and Wong Hei got together in the end. Finally.

Final Comments:
It's a must see if you like Infernal Affairs type shows. And if you are a Julian fan, then you don't want to miss it. If you are a Wong Hei fan, then you might want to skip past this one. If you dislike Gigi then watch it to change your perspective. Tavia fans, this may not be the favourite.
