Greed Of Man ("Dai Si Doi" = The Great Era") I went on a shopping spree in Hong Kong last year and bought a lot of old TVB series. One of the best and most longed for series I bought was "Greed of Man". I watched it when I just started senior primary, and even now, I rank it as one of the best works by TVB. I was even more sure of my... read more

"The Greed of Man" is a memorable series which is one of the best series I believe that TVB has produced in the past decade. Casting Adam Cheng Siu Chow in a rare antagonistic--yet acclaimed--role as the big and stupid Ding Hai, "Greed" tells a tale of stocks, vengeance, greed, and tragedy. This is definitely one of the most dramatic and touching Chinese dramas that my family has seen. There are many heartbreaking as well as funny scenes...but most of all, it really makes you think about honour, justice and the faults of man.
Definitely one of the best HK series I've watched! :) Though I watched this years ago on betamax tapes (20 tapes, 40 episodes), I can still remember clearly scenes from the series, and what the story is all about. It has lots of tear-jerking moments, and really tugs at your emotions. I highly recommended this! :)

This is one of the best series that TVB produced in the 90s. 5 out of 5.
