***Even thought Kong Wah's character has two names in the series I only use his real name (Yong Jing), although Lai Dai Ha is used more often during the series.

The story starts off during the Ching dynasty when Yong Jing (Kong Wah) is the Emperor. Yong Jing is having problems with his brothers and the country isn't doing so well. Yon Jing decides to go (undercover) and see how everything is going so he takes a bunch of guards and heads out to check everything out. On his way to the harbour he encounters a Leuy Sai Leung (Maggie) who is being bullied by a bunch of people. She is accused of owing the people money, so Yong Jing decides to help the Sai Leung out. Sai Leung decides that because Yong Jing saved her that she would follow him and serve him. When they get to the harbour the same people that were chasing Sai Leung attack Yong Jing and his guards. Yong Jing clues in that it is a trap and that Sai Leung is in on it too. The guards fight off the attackers as the boat sets sail with Yong Jing, a eunuch, a guard and Sai Leung. The boat gets sucked into a tornado and Yong Jing and Sai Leung are transported to the future. At the same place and time as their arrival a bus accident happens and a person by the name of Lai Dai Ha falls out of the bus and into the bush. Yong Jing and Sai Leung are taken to the hospital. Sai Leung escapes the hospital and starts to search for Yong Jing so that she can follow through with her mission and kill him.

Yong Jing is mistaken as Lai Dai Ha and is taken in by his cousin's family. He finds an opening for a job as an OA (office assistant) at Sui Hong. During his interview he pisses the interview off who just happens to be the boss' daughter in law. She decides to not hire him, but Yong Jing runs into Sum Sui Hong (Chun Pui) who is the boss of the company. Yong Jing impresses Sum Sui Hong with his good writing skills while correcting a document that Sum Sui Hong's secretary wrote. Sum Sui Hong decides to hire him. Yong Jing starts to work under the evil eyes of the boss' daughter in-law who is always trying to find a reason to fire him.

A man who is in charge of a martial arts group that travels around performing and competing discovers Sai Leung. He takes advantage of the fact that she know some long lost kung fu and tells her that if she travels with him he will help her find Yong Jing. During a performance Yong Jing notices Sai Leung presenting and yells out to her. Sai Leung then starts to chase Yong Jing through the studio into the street. Sai Leung accidentally falls and hits here head and becomes unconscious. Yong Jing decides to leave her. After a bit Yong Jing returns to check on Sai Leung and notices that she is still lying on the ground. He decides to take her home and tell his newfound relatives that Sai Leung comes from the same village as him.

When Sai Leung awakes she is still as persistent as ever to kill Yong Jing. Yong Jing show some historic vcds to Sai Leung so that she realizes that there is no point on killing him because in this time period he is not an emperor.

Sai Leung later discovers after she gets better that she has lost her kung fu and decides to commit suicide. Yong Jing stops her and tells her how she must live on even thought she has lost her kung fu. He tells her how he's just an OA and how people treat him, but he still decides to live because he wants to prove that even thought he is no longer an emperor he can still survive and become successful.

Sai Leung gets a job as Sui Hong's bodyguard while Yong Jing rapidly excels in his career at Sui Hong. Along the way Yong Jing make a few enemies in the company because of his rapid success.

The Good

I thought that this was a really good series. I've always been partial to time travel shows. I found that the acting was really good and that the storyline was well developed. The ending wasn't really rushed which was really good because that's one of my biggest pet peeves. I was really happy with the ending. Everything ended well. In general everyone was happy.

The Bad

Overall I liked this series, so I don't have that to many complaints about it. I thought that the opening song was ok, but Gong Wah needs to work a little more on his singing because he was lacking in the song. Another thing that I noticed was that Yong Jing and Sai Leung could read the modern Chinese characters without any difficulty even thought they're came from 200 years ago. I know that that's being pretty technical and it was necessary for at least Yong Jing to be able to read the modern characters from the beginning. Probably the only big problem that I had was with Lum Wai Sun's character Sum Yat Lai who was totally stupid. What can I say except I hate stupid characters. His whole plan to out Yong Jing and Sai Leung and their secret about being from the past was extremely stupid. His evidence was the worst and would never in a million years prove his theory.

The Couples

Yong Jing and Sum Yat Gnoy

I think that Yong Jing is sort of stupid with this relationship, because it started out as his proving that he could court any girl and succeed. Although he says that he really liked her his motive for dating her weren't the best. If Sai Leung wasn't in the picture I think that they would have made a good couple.

Yong Jing and Leuy Sai Leung

I really liked their relationship together. They never really officially go out. The scenes with them alone were pretty funny because they would always fight.

Leuy Sai Leung and Sum Yat Lai

Their relationship was doomed from the beginning. Even though Sai Leung didn't like Sum Yat Lai she still went out with him. She ends up regretting it when she finds out her boyfriends true nature. This relationship is important because it helps Sai Leung discover that she likes Yong Jing and push's Sum Yat Lai a little more to the edge of sanity.

Favourite scene

Whenever Yong Jing and Sai Leung were alone, because they would always fight and could act normal instead of having to cover up their real identities.

Most Hated Scene

When Sum Yat Lai is showing his pitiful evidence to prove that Yong Jing and Sai Leung are from the past.

All in all I recommend this series. It's (what I believe to be) a very good series to watch with a good ending.
