The Legend of Love

Synopsis: (SPOILERS!!!)
The story's based on a cowherd(Deric Wan) and a weaving girl(Sonija Kwok). Sonija is the weaving girl who weaves the clouds. She comes down to earth in search for an ingredient but accidentally ruins it and causes a disaster in Deric's village. After then, Sonija keeps coming down from heaven to help Deric. They eventually fall in love with each other. They're love is tested by an old immortal sentenced from the Jade Empress to live in the woods after falling in love with whom she shouldn't have. She trusted him and began to have faith in love. One day, Sonija tries to help Deric by heading to talk to Deric's unknown brother. Because of his rude behavior, she started fighting him with her power. They caused a misunderstanding, thinking that Sonija was an evil immortal or creature. The Jade Empress discovers what happens and sends her back to heaven, punishing her and Leila, giving Leila little chance to be an immortal in heaven. Deric, believing in love prayed for Sonija to come back.

The Jade Empress gave the stubborn couple a chance and gave her a time limit until the 9 planets aligned. She came back and found out that Jade Empress had erased his memory of what happened. She then came to her friend, Leila, who pretended that she didn't care about being a fairy. When she finally came to her senses, she joined the help of the two Lao couples and pretended that Sonija was mental because of love for Deric to pity her. When Deric found his parents, Sonija had been hired, using her magic to weave. Leila followed her to work. Leila pitied Stephen since she cost him his job and led him to help her find the creature who took his heart. Unknown to both of them, she gave them an evil heart which made Stephen become more and more evil. Sonija and Deric again fall in love but was forbidden by his mother after Sonija was mistaken for hitting her with a stick. She pleaded Leila to tie the string of love for her and Deric. Though, she had tied to Rain Lau's figure.

When Sonija pleaded for the old immortal's help, Deric regained his memory of their love, but the time limit was up and she was forced to marry Stephen, who secretly loved her as he was becoming evil. In the end, love conquered all and Sonija was sent to the mortal world as a mortal. Though Stephen was a huge problem. When he turned completely evil, he threatened them and kidnapped ther family along with the two Lao couple. He had already sucked all Leila's energy away. When he finally got ahold of Sonija, he tagged her along in the ghost hole. It took Deric to go inside to help save her. The family had already been spoken to of what was going on. They finally caught him and he returned to his nice self. He remembered all the time where Leila sacrificed so much for him. He was heartbroken and disappointed when he found out she gave him her heart and didn't remember him. He pleaded for her to regain her heart in front of the Jade Empress. Well really from this point on, there were minor problems so you'll have to figure it out when you watch the movie.

Cast and Role Playing:

Sonija played a very good role but she was lacking what the character needed. She didn't play the innocent role of the weaving girl well, but her overall performance was great!

Deric portrayed his role well, but didn't give effort into much of the love scenes and I felt they were sort of weak. But, good performance.

Leila had portrayed her character perfectly! Flaws were very rare and she fitted the innocent, cute character.

Stephen's character really made me want to squeeze his body until it exploded. But it did meant he did his character well, but he lacked something when he thought he liked Sonija.

Altogether, ignoring the lack of chemistry and emotion. I enjoy this movie very much. It's fascinating and awesome.
