Introduction to series:
Amy's father left her and her mother when she is still a little kid and then was brought up by her uncle Chun Pui who works as an investigator. Later, her mother passed away. When Amy is an adult, she follows her uncle's career to find her long lost father's whereabouts. Together, they developed a company by the name of K.T Investigation Bureau (Kei Tung Investigation Bureau) that consists of several co-workers: Amy, Chun Pui, Yeung Ming, Sharon and Joe Cheng and a 70-year-old woman (sorry I don't know her name, please specify if you know). This makes six employees in the company.

The Main Characters:
Amy Kwok Oi Ming
Amy is very independent since her father left her. She is still single although she will almost reach her 30s. Amy learned many things about men's behavior and thinks that they are usually disloyal to their wife. Because of her job, she could not trust any man that she meets. Her boyfriends all get scared away because she would inspect their private life until they reject any further relationship development because they felt discomfort, embarrassment, distress and anxiousness.

Paul Chun Pui
Chun Pui is Amy's sidekick. They work together and solve many cases together. Chun Pui is always concerned about Amy's life. He persistently introduces men to Amy because he does not want her to follow his sister Ying's steps as being single until 70. As he and Amy work together, he always care for Amy because he has assumed her as his own child since her father left.

Roger Kwok Chun On
You will find Roger here play the same character attitude and behavior as in "An Herbalist Affair", which is humorous. This series tells of Roger who is a police officer who has cases recently affiliated with the private investigation team. Being a hardworking man who concentrates mostly on his job, this makes him seldom have time to accompany his girlfriend. As usual, he always breaks his promise to entertain his girlfriend. He never thought that his girlfriend would betray their relationship as he assumed her to be his future wife.

Karen Tong Bo Yee
Karen is Amy's best friend and Roger's girlfriend. She lives a normal life that always has less demand on tangible things (materialistic). What she wants is someone who cares and will spare more time on her. Karen works as a secretary in a lawyer firm. As Roger continuously disregards their relationship, she has an affair with a person that is her superior (a lawyer).

Michael Tong Man Lung
Michael is an indifferent guy that has strange behaviors. He has a sister and a father that sent him away, resulting in an impact to his attitude, behavior and beliefs. He still looks so charming and macho in this series. I think he is very attractive. His character shows up quite late, almost at the second half of the 20 episode series.

Other Character:
Cheng Keng Kei
Cheng Keng Kei plays a supporting role that is necessary in the investigation team. His acting is good and has some humor too. He does not really play an important role here but he does have his own relationship part/story to fit in this series.

Yeung Ming and Sharon Chan Man Ji
I am very satisfied with these two newcomers who play wonderful supporting roles. I do not want to comment about their acting skills because they are still new. However, I find that Sharon has the least conversation in this series. This made her look very wooden as other members contribute their opinions in solving cases.

Yew Ying Ying and Akina Hong Wa
You will only see them appear in the first case, which lasted for 5 episodes. Yew Ying Ying and Hong Wa always do a brilliant job in their acting but TVB seems to underrate their status. I do hope Hong Wa can have more lead roles as her acting is very convincing and beautiful too. Maybe the audience cannot accept her as leads because she has been playing supporting roles for years (Crimes Of Passion, Armed Reaction).

Overall:
This series is short and quite entertaining. Although some cases are predictable, you will still find it interesting, as there are many secrets behind them that the viewer needs to know how to be solved. The series is not dragging and reasonably ended. I like the background music of every episode that evokes mysterious feelings that will draw your concentration to discover more. The theme song sang by Miriam Yeung suits the series for this kind of serious and humorous combination series.

Best Actress - Amy Kwok:
She is very charming here and always smile. Her acting is still great though I have not seen her acting for a long time. This series reveals her real talent because it focuses more on Amy's character. She plays a strong and confident person in this series, which looks kind of pro. It is really rare to see Amy act in these role.

Best Actor - Paul Chun Pui
He is the best of the best. His acting as Amy's uncle is very compelling and you can feel their warm relationship (chemistry). I always felt confident of Chun Pui's acting capability as he knows how to perform different emotions in different roles. He is the most outstanding actor among other male character although Roger Kwok is the first male lead.

The Cases:
I don't want to elaborate much because this is a detective investigation series that will make you lose suspense when I reveal the truth. Here is the brief and concept of ideas about each case.

The first case:
The first case is about Hong Wa searching for her husband who disappeared after she is back to Hong Kong. She hired the investigation team to search for the person (Eileen Yiu) who hides her husband.

The second case:
The second case is the most emotional case in the end. This case filled with twists and turns of who murdered Karen's director wife. At the moment you think the case is over, some new clue is ahead to be solved.

The Third case:
The third case involves spirits. Michael Tong and Patricia Lau start appearing on this case. They play brother and sister. The investigation team has been hired to work as undercover and investigates what happened in Michael's company, which is kind of mysterious.

The sub case:
There are a few sub cases, sometimes related and sometimes unrelated to the main case. Some sub cases tells about their relationships.

My Perspective:
The producer did well in this series, which includes a great cast and storyline too. This series really disclosed "TRUST" as the key for good relationship. The producer uses this as their concept to integrate the cases to make this whole point of the series which the audience can easily grasp. There is some part which I don't like which occur when someone in the cases who tries to recall back their memories, they have this zapping or spinning images or flashing sound that is intended to make it looks more gorgeous and attracts your attention which I found unnecessary and quite dull. The spinning images which repeat quite a few times in several cases had me bored and giddy. Nevertheless, this series is still interesting when they use the investigation devices to track people and solve their case.
