Review:
I am not going to write the summary of the series here because I am not really good at summarising plots and stuff. Just to give an overview, the whole show is about PI (Private Investigators) and it revolves around the cases and relationships. As the Chinese name "Qing Shi Qi Si Dang An" (ÇéʾƒË½™n°¸) suggests, the cases mainly revolve around affairs of the heart.

I am really tempted to write a review for this series because it has been quite a while since I sat faithfully in front of the television to catch every single episode of a TVB drama serial.

What makes this show stand out from other TVB detective series? I guess it is the plot. The cases come with many twists and turns. And just when you think you have the answer to the case, something happens and it turns out in a way you never thought it would be. There are 3 major cases for this series and each of them has an unexpected ending. I think this is what makes it different. Many detective series always come with predictable outcomes and this has made viewers bored. For this, I would give the scriptwriters of this serial a round of applause.

Another remarkable part about this series is that it has 20 episodes. I think the main trouble with many TVB serials nowadays is that they are too long, causing them to be draggy and loaded with cliched plots. 20 is a number just nice, long enough to wrap everything up but not long enough to bore the viewers to death.

As much as the story plot was a success, I really hated the way they handled the relationship parts. I do not mind love triangles, but the way the whole thing turned out here was irritating. I hate the drama that was involved in the relationship. Why do we always have to have this girl who will ditch the guy at first and makes a comeback later? I am not really sure about others, but I detest this kind of drama.

I am not a very good judge on acting so I shall not comment much on the actors' performance. But I would like to comment a little on Amy Kwok's acting. At the beginning of the show, she did a fairly good job portraying the highly suspicious, capable PI. But towards the end, when it came to the more emotional scenes, she fell a little short of my expectations. Her expressions were just weird.

The performance by the supporting cast like Chun Pui and Ha Ping was wonderful. They provided much laughter to the already wonderful series.

Theme Song:
Sung by Miriam Yeung, and I did not exactly like it when I first heard it. But after 20 episodes, I did quite like the song. I thought the tune was rather catchy.

Conclusion:
Despite the little flaw in the plot, this show was a fairly enjoyable series and it has kept me glued to the television for all 20 episodes. If you detest that kind of relationship-drama like I do, skip the last few episodes. Nevertheless, watch the first 18 episodes, it is definitely worth the time.
