First of all, I love watching TVB series and by far, this is one of the best shows I've watched from TVB in a while! This is definitely worth watching! The Not-So-Great Parts The plot was a little exaggerated. And Flora Chan's character "Belle", seemed a little too "faithful", believing in the "Triangel" would grant her true immortal love. That was pretty cheesy. Also, in the end when Sam proposed to Zoe and she...

The only thing I hated about this series was Flora character and how she couldn't make up her mind about who she loves. I love Myolie character the most in the series and how she lives ever day to the fullest and always is always smiling. I would have liked to Michelle character end up with Ron character because they are so good together but too bad that didn't happen. Overall this series was good.

I began to watch this series with high expectations, but it still exceeded them all. The historic production is incredible…the airport gorgeous, the camera great, the effects amazing, and all the details beautiful. The sceneries of Italy, Japan, and Australia make charming backdrops, and the casting is solid. The tone is far lighter than I expected, but the dramatic underdones still persist.

Francis Ng delivers an unbelievable performance.
Flora Chan does well but can’t cry.
Joe Ma does a remarkable job but can’t speak a word of English.
Myolie Wu acts nicely though her leading-man chemistry isn’t her best.
Shek Sau and Hon Ma Lei make adorable comic parents.
Ron Ng, Bosco Wong, and Sammul Chan do very well.
Michelle Ye and Kenneth Ma are tolerable.
The rest of the cast do terrific jobs in their respective roles.

The story offers nothing fresh and is not flawless, but the entire script does not have a single unengaging moment. I find the characters all generally lovable, except for the self-centered Belle. This series is extraordinary, deserving of all the hype and praises.

Conclusion: watch it, without a doubt, trust the reviewers…you won’t regret it.
Final No-brainer Verdict: 5/5

I must say, “Triumph in the Skies” is the best HK drama I have seen in a long time. For a quite a while, I have been swept away by the Korean wave and then caught up in the Taiwan storm, until “Triumph” captured me and had me soaring in the sky.
The character that got my utmost attention is definitely Sam Tang. I adore his serious and frank personality in the show. Though Sam is not the romantic prince charming or the dashing knight in the shining armour, there is a special charm in his forthrightness and severity that draws me to him right from the beginning. It is so natural for me to fall in love with Sam Tang. To me, he possesses the most essential qualities that a woman hopes for in a man, which are namely, loyalty, responsibility and most importantly, security. He is very attractive in a down-to-earth and dependable way. I would entrust myself to him in a heartbeat. Francis Ng’s portrayal of Sam Tang is impeccable. He has breathed life into Sam Tang and made the character so believable that I feel for him in every one of his joy and sorrow. When he smiles, he lights me up. When he is sad, my surrounding turns gloomy. Without a doubt, Sam Tang left a lasting impression in my heart.
Another character to look out for would be Issac Tang. His cool and suave appearance, combined with his “bad-boy” demeanor unquestioningly demands attention and flutters many hearts. Ron Ng has portrayed his character of Issac very well. He is definitely a very potential candidate to go far in the showbiz.

Overall, “Triumph in the skies” is a show executed with finesse. I have had a highly enjoyable time watching it.

Belle (Flora) is not suitable for her role in that she was consoled when she was depressed. When she was over it, she was thrusted to become the consoler for Sam dperessed onver her dying friend lying in bed.

Also the facial look of Flora seems to be like a Flirt. Her flirty look makes her more suitable for a role as a lover instead.

Her love role on Sam and Vincent seemed "artificial" and not "real". Perhaps her "flirty" looks and her "unemotional" looks makes her "fake" and "artificial".

However, as far as I am concerned, I like to see her in this show, as she is really has a "sexy and flirty" looks. I dont mind having her in my arm for a while. Hehehe.
