Shek Sau- Ling Fung Duk

Storyline:
Mau Chun is about to get married but the bride does not show up and Sup Yut marries Mau Chun because she is trying to run away from soldiers who want to capture her and her family. Sup Yut and her family are thieves and they played a trick on Guk Guk since she caused a girl to attempt suicide by a sudden annulment of her marriage to Mau Chun.

After Mau Chun and Sup Yut marries Sup Yut acts kind and friendly towards Guk Guk but finally she cannot stand Guk Guk and has a huge arguement with her. Guk Guk and Sup Yut are both quite stubborn people but Guk Guk likes to boss people around because she knows that they must listen to her since she is the princess. Guk Guk is also very annoying and selfish. Their stubborn personalities lead Guk Guk and Sup Yut to continuously argue over many issues.

Lung Hao Hao is a kind and helpful lady who is Sup Yut's aunty. She has a boyfriend named Wun Dai Go who left her to do business twenty years ago. Hao Hao is obsessed with Wun Dai Go and continues to wait for him to return to her side. This causes Hao Hao to have small mental problems.

Characters:
Seuk Lun Guk Guk (Liza Wang)-
Seuk Lun is a very bossy, short-tempered and annoying princess. She likes to have everything her way and she has a terrible temper. She dislikes Sup Yut (Myolie Wu) because she disobeys her orders and talks back at her when she yells at her. Everyone else in the town, including her husband, is afraid of her because she is bossy and easily angry so people do not dare to disobey her. I think that it was quite normal for Seuk Lun to have the personality she had because she was a relative of the Queen, so she thinks that she can have everything her way. She has the personality of the usual rich people in the modern TVB series.

Tin Lik/Sup Yut (Myolie Wu)-
Sup Yut can be quite short tempered and she believes in doing the right thing. She doesn't like to be bossed around, which is why she and Seuk Lun Guk Guk clash. Sup Yut hopes to be with a strong, brave man in the future. She doesn't like Mau Chun (Bosco Wong) for being a coward and listening to his mother all the time. I think that even though Sup Yut is a bit short-tempered, she is usually angry at the right times instead of being upset over spilt milk. I like the character Sup Yut because she is a great person who sticks by her beliefs and is very loyal to her loved ones.

Ling Mau Chun/But Lau Ming (Bosco Wong)-
Mau Chun is the 'perfect obedient son' of Seuk Lun Guk Guk. He always obeys her and he is very afraid of making her upset or angry because he knows how short-tempered she is. Mau Chun loves his family and he believes in doing the right thing and bringing criminals to justice, which is why he became But Lau Ming. Mau Chun seems to be a huge coward but he is actually a hero who saves many people and brings criminals to justice. I think that Mau Chun almost has a split personality because he has two different personalities. Ling Mau Chun is the coward who is very scared of his mother and obeys her every word, while But Lau Ming is the firm, brave, strong hero that punishes criminals. I reckon I like both of the personalities because they are both very good selfless people that want the best for everybody.

Ling Fung Duk (Shek Sau)-
Fung Duk is a kind, easy-going man and he knows how to stitch very well. He is very obedient to his wife Seuk Lun Guk Guk but he also has his own beliefs and thoughts. Sometimes I think that he is held back from expressing his feelings because Seuk Lun is very short-tempered and bossy. Fung Duk and Seuk Lun don't have a very good relationship because she takes advantage of his easygoing nature. But I reckon that Fung Duk does truly love her because he cares a great deal about her. I think that he is a good character but too dull and boring at times because of his personality and storylines.

Lung Hao Hao (Christine Ng)-
Hao Hao is a very nice, helpful and caring lady. She does not easily give up even when luck is not on her side. She knows how to stitch pretty well too and she listens to Sup Yut's problems. I think that Hao Hao is a character that is too good to be true because her kindness and forgiving nature is really wonderful. It would be great to have everyone in this world like her because she has a splendid personality and everyone would want to be her friend. I reckon Hao Hao was too kind to Seuk Lun because Seuk Lun treated her so badly after she found out her past.

Cast:
Liza Wang-
This is the first series I have seen Liza in and I think that she played Seuk Lun Guk Guk fantastically! She was very funny and I laughed so hard whenever she was acting in a humourus scene. I think that Liza didn't seem to act out the serious scenes that well though because she didn't seem to be as emotional. But I reckon it is because the series was so funny from the beginning that it was difficult to make it suddenly very serious and emotional. I hope that Liza will be in future TVB series.

Myolie Wu-
Myolie was terrific as usual when she played her character Tin Lik (also known as Sup Yut). Myolie was very emotional in the devastatingly unhappy scenes and she really showed how her character felt. I think that Myolie is also very funny too! I love Myolie's acting because she can be both comedic and serious and emotional. She cries very well like in her previous series too. I think Myolie is a very natural actress and she did a wonderful job!

Bosco Wong-
Bosco was great in this series as well because he always pulled funny faces and he was incredibly funny too! Bosco was great as the masked hero But Lau Ming and he was able to keep a straight face in those scenes. I think that Bosco's character was hard to play because he had to be very serious in some scenes and humorous and playful in other scenes. Bosco portrayed But Lau Ming so well and I think that he is unforgettable in this series!

Shek Sau-
I think that Shek Sau was okay as Ling Fung Duk. His didn't have many suprising scenes so he couldn't really show some good acting skills. I think that his character was quite dull and not very entertaining since he wasn't as funny as the other characters. I reckon that Shek Sau can act very well but his character didn't have a lot of depth, although he did have some good storylines, they didn't explore Shek Sau's character. I like Shek Sau as the villian because he has a major role when he is the villain but when he is one of the main characters as a good person, TVB tends to give him smaller roles that don't have an interesting character.

Christine Ng-
I loved Christine's character and I think that she acted so well in this series. I liked how she played the kind, gentle and caring Lung Hao Hao. The way she walked, talked and made hand movements really made the character so realistic because the personality of the character was shown through her actions. I think that Christine wasn't very comedic in this series but she was quite interesting. She had some great storylines and her character had a good and genuine personality.

Conclusion:
To conclude I think that this series is pretty good. It can be predictable sometimes but it is also very exciting and funny, which are the excellent parts of the series! This series is recommended to everyone because it is so fun to watch for a great laugh!
