Actually this series is a combination of two (or more) Qiong Yao's novels. The first novel is the dream behind curtain and the second novel is about the love affair between the father & the artist. As for Liu De Qi's character, it was somewhat taken out from another QY's novel who got rumors of been married 7 times. That actual novel is very sad where he ended up marrying someone else instead of the heroin though he only and always love the heroin.
I too like this series very much. I would recommend it to anyone who is into Qiong Yao's works, or into romance.
