Vanness Wu is a Taiwanese-American singer and television actor with a trans-Pacific career, perhaps most famous for his membership in the boy-band F4. Wu was born in the Los Angeles area in 1978, and rose to almost instant international stardom in his role as Mei Zuo in the Taiwanese version of Boys Over Flowers (Meteor Garden) and its two sequels, all in 2001. The Flower Four in the series became the boy-band F4 shortly afterward. Wu added to the band's three releases with his own solo albums "Body Will Sing" of 2002, "V-Dubb" of 2007" and a third release in 2008. In 2006 came Kangta & Vanness, his pop duo with Korean singer Kangta that's produced one album called Scandal. Wu has recently expanded his activities into acting in many television dramas, a few big-budget films, guest appearances for American musical acts like Kanye West, and director and producer duties. He is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
