this film was very good, the story of the three god-brothers was extremely well written.
The story follows them from their hometown in the 1940's till the early 1990's.
It's a pretty long series and shows how each brother strives to overcome the hardship they must face through life. one thing that was most memorable, was that it didn't have them turning against each other like so many of the films, but instead shows how we can go through anything, as long as we have true friends and family who can support.

Didn't really like number two, thought number one was better, two had too many loop holes.
About the plagiarism, it can't be considered as such because the use of character death causing another to go insane wasn't invented by DBZ, neither did the hair turning colour thing.
Even together, if you wanted enough drama's, especially the older ones, there were a couple of times when characters were so filled with grief or anger that there hair turned white in one night.

Isn't this the same series as the 1986 "The Rise of the Great Wall - Emperor Qin Shi Huang"?

If you guys really like this series, you should check out "All About Tin". It's an old TV series made in the early 90's. I swear, it feels like "The Snow is Red" is a rip off of "All About Tin". In AAT, there are twin sisters separated at birth who grows up and falls in love with the male lead (who is actually smarter and more likable than Andrew Yuen's character). He's in love with one sister and the other sister is in love with him. One twin grows up with her mother who is a leader of an all-female cult that hates men. The mother has a hatred towards men because her lover left her and she's been looking for him ever since. Sounds familiar? It gets more similar. The other sister grew up in an evil cult but she's actually a good person and very self-sacrificing (like Kristy but she doesn't do it to the extreme like Kristy where it's so annoying and unbelievable). There's a treasure map that everyone wants because it will lead them to a cave with powerful martial arts. There's a man who has a scarred face and wears a mask and has a grudge against the twin's mother. A subplot with a scar-faced girl, caused by the twin's mother, who falls in love with a man from the "good guys" side (which is like Laurence's love story).
I like both series but I have to say, AAT has so many more likable characters and relationships between the characters. Just thought you guys might like to check it out.
