What is the name of this old drama?

Hi all

I have trying to recall, google and even lookup wikipedia (and click the link one by one) for the name of this old drama, but cannot find.

Actor: Yao Wen Long

The plot roughly goes like this.

It took place between Singapore and China (i am not sure if it was also taken in Malaysia or not). Yao Wen Long is a tertiary or university undergraduate who is pretty good in basketball. He was posted to china to do his further studies or to further his skills in basketball.

There, he met a beautiful local girl and tried to show off his basketball skill, only to be defeated by one of the male student. He found out that this guy is from the school basketball team.

He joined the team in order to want to defeat him.

This drama took place between 1988 and 2000 period. I hope some of you would know the name.
