Rey buried the lightsabers of Luke/Anakin and Leia Skywalker under the sand on Tatooine?

No. Do you suggest ZZR and ZWJ bury the heaven sword and dragon sabre respectively under the ice on Icy Island?

Just the idea of two iconic weapons connected to a single family being laid to rest, perhaps to be taken up by another generation in the distant future.

They have it already. Anakin Skywalker built the family's original lightsaber. That lightsaber was passed down to Luke. Leia built her own, and both lightsabers ended up in Rey's possession.

But there is no equivalent family which last through the JY trilogy.
