I don't think the private messages can be accessed, but your control panel probably could be accessed.
Login to the webhosting acct, click the phpMyAdmin and just view any private msg in the vBulletin database
However I don't think that vBulletin have even in the backend for an admin to view other user private msg, well that is invading a privacy. I maintain a phpBB website which I think is similar and the only info that you can look of the user information is their profile such their login name, resetting password, maintaining their avatar etc...
I was thinking along the line of accessing the database directly with a query tool. however, i'd be very surprise if Jelsoft doesnt encrypt or at the very least store private messages in binary data type to cover privacy and security issues.Quote:

Are you doing something illegal?!
no im a good boy ;)
I can view all private messages if I really wanted to via the database but there's no vbulletin option in the admin control panel to do so. That being said though, your private messages are safe because it is a privacy issue that I respect (laziness and lack of interest to read them are the other reasons).
In general, whatever you post on any website that is not a trusted vendor, or emails that you send out, should not contain sensitive information such as social security #'s, credit card #'s, etc.
