Do you think (a desperate) Yeung Gor would consider *eating* the Divine Condor?

Strange thought here.

Imagine that at some point during the 16-year interlude of ROCH, Yeung Gor and the Divine Condor wandered to some remote area that has been devastated by famine (kind of like that place in HSDS where young Cheung Mo Gei and Yeung But Fui almost got cannibalized). They get lost there, and are soon dying of hunger. There's nothing else around to eat...except each other.

Yeung Gor knows that if he dies of starvation out here, he'll never reunite with Little Dragon Girl. Brother Condor has been a good friend and companion for many years, but would starving Yeung Gor actually consider...?

Conversely, would the condor consider eating Yeung Gor?

And if they fought it out (winner eats; loser gets eaten), who'd end up eating dinner and who'd end up BEING dinner?

As for the question, no, YG would not do such a thing. I'm sure he would rather die and not see XLN, than to eat a friend.

I'm less sure about what Bro Condor would do. From the description of him though, he seems to have good human qualities, so he would likely act the same way.

I am not a big fan of Yeung Gor, but I don't think he would do that to the condor. I think he would rather die of starvation than eating his friend. Yeung Gor was willing to injure himself to save his friends when he was in the passionless valley. On the other hand, if it was GWM, he would eat new born baby to preserve his life.

YG's had many a death wish throughout the story. Confronted with another opportunity, can't see him doing anything self but dive head first into dying.

No, as plausible as it may seem, the Divine Condor is pretty much a mentor/father to him. After YG got his arm chopped off by Guo Fu, his spirits were at the lowest of the low, it was the Divine Condor who really brought life back to him without a repay or a single condition. He'd rather die and see her in the "afterlife" then eat his friend.

And let's say YG did eat him, he'd probably commit suicide in guilt of his atrocious crimes. He wouldn't be able to live with himself.

Lastly, the Condor is WAY TOO COOL man :).

Starvation drives people to unthinkable desperation. I don't think any of us have ever come close to starving, so we don't know what our limits are. Many of you have likely read or heard about that soccer team whose airplane went down in a remote region of the Andes Mountains years ago and finally had to cannibalize their dead teammates to survive until help arrived many weeks later.

Yeung Gor being a fictional hero, his resilience is likely greater, so perhaps he might not eat the Divine Condor, but would the beast eat him?

And even if either was desperate enough to try to consume the other, one would need to kill the other first. Yeung Gor might have the edge here because he has actual skills (not just raw strength) and the Heavy Iron Sword. The Divine Condor never could beat a Great.

YG was starving on Huashan with H7G believed dead for 7 days. His logic was to just commit suicide and protect H7G's corpse from defilement by throwing it over the cliff. Clearly if he were so inclined, that provided much more of an incentive for him than a living friend. Even more, if he surrendered H7G's body to the Tibetan clowns then he might even get to live. Clearly his stubborness is greater than his sense of self preservation.
