LSF: Madame Gung Sheun vs. the Sword Gods
In THE EMBROIDERY THIEF (Vol. 2 of Gu Long's LUK SIU FUNG series), Luk Siu Fung observed that Madame Gung Sheun's sword moves were "even more frightening than Sai Mun Chui Sheut's", and Madame Gung Sheun herself bragged that she could counter Yip Goo Sing's "Celestial Angel" Sword Technique if he used it against her. Madame Gung Sheun was indeed a great swordfighter, but does anybody *really* think she would stand a chance against Yip Goo Sing or Sai Mun Chui Sheut?

Well, didn't she eventually go up against Yip Goo Sing? I guess the outcome of that should answer your question. :)

Hard to say because there are so many great disguise artists in the GL universe. I don't think anything she did stood out all that much for me.

Yes, but didn't Yip Goo Sing sneak up behind her and *choke* her to death with a piece of cloth? That doesn't tell us much about their respective sword skills.

Isn't that unethical? u.u;

Heh, well I guess I learn something new every day. :)

Indeed it is, but as we learn in LUK SIU FUNG: THE DUEL (Vol. 3), Yip Goo Sing is not all that he seems.

Maybe it's because Yip Goo Sing has no confidence against her hence resorted to such a dirty trick?

It's not that (more spoilers ahead). Yip Goo Sing was in the midst of a *very* secretive plot to overthrow the Emperor, and Madame Gung Sheun was getting too close to discovering just what he and his cohorts were up to. Yip Goo Sing probably could have killed Madame Gung Sheun with his Celestial Angel Sword Technique, but to do so would have given away his identity (Who else could perform that technique? Luk Siu Fung could, but Yip Goo Sing didn't know that). Yip Goo Sing, therefore, had to *murder* Madame Gung Sheun in a way that nobody would suspect that it was him.
