Please Help Me Find the Name of A Series

I am trying to find a name of a Chinese martial arts film series that I saw a long time ago on television, roughly around ten years ago that my dad used to watch. I don't know the name of the series, and I only remember a few things about the film. Basically the movie was about some guys trying to collect these magical red orbs (fire orbs?) that granted the user power, with the premise being that the more of these red magic fire balls that you collect, the stronger you become. I remember that the main villain in the series wears a red dress, and that he battles with the protagonists in collecting these red magical orbs, of which there are eight of these orbs that exist in the film if I remember correctly. Does anyone have any clues or ideas as to the name of this series?
