lolo son goku from dbz is the best^^ however dicky cheung is great, too. he is funny, kinda athletic in terms of acting monkey-ish and of course a fantastic actor.
I think Liu Xiao Ling Tong is probably the best monkey king. =)

Jet Li is good at portraying a mischievous Monkey King, but I rate Shingo Katori's performance higher b/c his Monkey King version sometimes gets cranky/peeved off in a comic way.

There was the Korean one too that involved inter-dimensional space-time travel. I wouldn't nominate it for an acting award though, it was more about the SFX, and the Monkey King looked like a cross between Michael Jackson and a monk/priest:
