...or are you getting diverted to Register.com?
If we can reply to this msg, obviously we got through.
Just now I am able to get through. Often I get diverted to Register. Why?
Yesterday it went to Register.com. A quick look there showed that the domain name expired on 1/23/2012, so maybe the domain owner hadn't renewed it?
I hope that doesn't happen again. I was devastated and horrified for a couple of hours.
It's been fine for me as well. Though sometimes, I can get in, others cannot, and vice versa. Rather strange.
My ability to get through is totally random at this point.
working fine for me. this is the 2nd time I randomly choose to visit. based on the probability theory, it should be fine on my side.
I haven't seen the redirection to register.com since the other day, it's been working like usual for me yesterday and now.
Who runs the forums here? Maybe you can ask him/her what's been going on.
Sorry for the late reply. We had a problem with the autorenewal set on the domain name and had to correct it with our registrar, register.com. Once corrected, the DNS changes were supposed to take 24-72 hours to fully propogate on the web fully so some of you might've kept seeing the register.com page. If you are still seeing it intermittently, can you try this first on your computer:
Start > Run > type in "cmd" and then type in "ipconfig /flushdns"
Other day saw Register.com for the whole day but now it looks back to normal - I was pretty sad and almost started trolling jaynestar message boards to see if I could find any spcnet members. I did notice that there is spcnet page on Facebook, can we use that as alternate gathering point for site updates? Or start up another page?
Thanks
Got redirected several times last night. At the exact same time, another V-Bulletin site I frequent also went down. An hour later, Comic Book Resources.com (yet another V-Bulletin site) issued a Malware warning.
Is it some V-Bulletin-wide hacker attack?
I'm still having problems with Spcnet. Sometimes I can post, but sometimes, the reply box turns a deep gray and I can't type in the box. What am I doing wrong? Help please!
EDIT - the problem appears to be with the browser (I'm using Internet Explorer). So I guess I have to use Firefox or another browser to post then.
