Is there anyway some of the actors or actress threads titles be shortened up a bit.
I don't like how some threads has something like:
The one and only "insert name"
The lovely and talented "insert name"
The heavenly beautiful "insert name"
Can we somehow just shorten the threads to the actor or actress name only.
Anyone else annoyed by this, or are you guys ok with it?
well, in the beginning, it was to differentiate between threads for the same title. there used to be limits on the number of pages a thread could be. so instead of so and so thread 2, it became, the lovely so and so.
i've never found it to be a problem, and it seems like a nice way for fans to show their admiration of their idols. if more people prefer the names to be kept simple, then i'll consider it. in the meantime, i suggest you use the actor/actress directories to find threads if it bothers you that much.
To add to what Permberly has said, although we certainly have the ability to do it, we generally don't out of respect for our members. Unless a thread title is inappropriate (i.e. obscene or rude), misleading, or difficult to understand, we generally don't touch them.

Well, when you merge it, you could maybe rename the thread more appropriately, for instance, in the thread "How did the martial arts school get their funding" it was merge with my thread, "how did the heroes or famous fighters get their money". The thread starts off about heroes and their way of earning money.. it now looks odd to read the thread about "martial arts school funding" when it doesn't start that way. So maybe a title renaming the thread like "How do heroes and martial arts school get their money" would be better.
