In the Name of Doctors 《以医生的名义》

Episode 1
Despite being against by her rich father Guan Ming Hai 关明海, Guan Shan 关姗 insisted on practicing as an intern with Sunshine Hospital and made herself acquainted with US returnee Hang Zi Hang 韩子航 through some disagreements. At the same time, Gong Fan 巩凡, who was known as a “robot” with her outstanding academic and Ren Qiu 任丘, who was transferred from a county hospital and known as a “phoenix man”, joined with Guan Shan as interns and they all practiced under the direction of cardiac Dr Xi Ma Bo Ming 司马博铭.

A pregnant female prisoner named Hao Lin 郝琳 was admitted to the hospital. Han Zi Hang joined forces with obstetricians in saving this woman’s life and helped her to give birth to a child. Guan Shan was assigned to look after her but Hao Lin disappeared. Guan Shan learned that Hao Lin didn’t murder her husband and designed a trap to find her and Hao Lin kidnapped a newborn baby. Guan Shan and Han Zi Hang convinced Ho Lin to surrender herself. Han Zi Hang found Guan Shan impressive and the distance between the two got closer.

A special patient of a near-vegetative state by the name of Fu Hong Bo 傅洪波, was admitted to the hospital in the personal care of dean Ye Ming Hui 叶明辉. Fu Hong Bo was an old schoolmate of Ye Ming Hui as well as the founder of Sunshine Fund. Ye Ming Hui announced that Han Zi Hang be responsible for the care of Fu Hong Bo. Han Zi Hang hoped to join forces with Xi Ma Bo Ming in treating this patient.

Episode 2
Gong Fan was assigned to look after a long-admitted patient Chen Jia Zi 陈佳子. Careful Gong Fan learned that Chen Jia Zi looked stubborn and strong on the surface but deep inside she was extremely low self-esteem because of the fact that her parents hided their divorce from her. Gong Gan persuaded Chen Jia Zi parents that they should cooperate with her in healing her feeling first. She got full support from Xi Ma Bo Ming. Xi Ma Bo Ming expressed a doctor who tried to heal a patient’s feeling is a good doctor.

Chen Jia Zi’s surgery appointment was drawing near and Gong Fan spoke her mind. Chen Jia Zi’s parents also explained to her about their thoughts and assured her that if her surgery were successful they would start a happy family. Chen Jia Zi’s surgery was successful and Xi Ma Bo Ming became famous. In his heart he appreciated Gong Fan’s help. At this time Gong Fan collapsed next to the operating table due to a genetic disease.

Han Zi Hang’s grandma told him that the person who killed his mother was by the name of Fu Zhan Yuan 傅占元 and that he should find him and got him to his mother’s tomb to admit his wrong doing.

The relationship between Guan Shan and her father Guan Hai Ming was at the verge of rupture. She had dual personality because her mother died early. Not willing to returning to a deserted house, Guan Shan rented an apartment and her father secretly helped her to find one. Guan Shan met a pregnant woman Wei Xiao Feng 魏晓枫 and the two got along well. But Wei Xiao Feng turned out to be her stepmother.

Han Zi Hang increasing falling in love with Guan Shan and both went to see Han Zi Hang’s grandma. Guan Shan learned that the man Fu Zhan Yuan who killed his mother was Han Zi Hang’s father. Guan Shan told Han Zi Hang about it and Han Zi Hang pretended he didn’t hear it.

Thanks for starting this thread. Man, CCTV is always so quiet and frustratingly low key. But I think this will be set in the pre-War period right?

Filming of Touching Lives will be delayed until April.

Wallace was spotted having dinner with an old man in a restaurant in Shanghai the day before. He is not in a hurry to go to Beijing where Touching Lives will be filmed. The rumour is that he has bought 7 cases of cloths for this drama. Hope the delay will not go further before his cloths run out of season.

Although the drama has not yet started filming, I want to start this thread so that we can capture the whole thing from the very beginning....

I notice vast majority of his dramas are modern. Three are min guo/pre-modern (Detective Tang Lang, Rouge Snow, Yi Xin Jian Mei). Three so far are period dramas - CP3 (RPG), Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei (wuxia), Qing Shi Huang Fei (historical).

Yes, it is a drama in modern time. He will play the role of a doctor coming back to China from the U.S. I will find the time to translate the story outline from Chinese and post on this thread. It will need a bid of work to that.

You know what the worst thing is? A lot of CCTV zheng ju takes 1 year or longer to air.

It is now April. Still have not heard anything about the making of this drama. Hope it will happen this month!

His car is not officially confirmed. More than 1 month ago someone posted on his website that Wallace took his car to his shop for maintenance. He described his car a silver grey Z4. The girl who spotted him on the Beijing/Shanghai highway also described that he was driving a small BMW sport car.

It must be very cool to see him in his car!

It is likely that Touching Lives will be filmed toward the end of April. There are some speculations that Wallace is in Beijing for Touching Lives in early April. But it seems that he is there to meet some old friends instead. One of them is Singing Jill (徐洁儿); they both were in Dolphin Bay and have not been met for a long time.

Posted by a general manager of Beijing Huading Century Company, Ltd (北京华鼎世纪国际文化有限公司总经理王先森) that shooting of Touching Lives will start very soon. The crew is in the midst of preparing for the shooting.

Touching Lives will tentatively kick off on April 17th. :D The crew is in the final stage of preparing for the kick off.

Wallace was spotted jogging in the embassy area in Beijing 2 days ago. It is speculated that he might have an apartment nearby.

The kick off day has been confirmed by one of the actors. Based on his blog, he will leave on April 15th to kick start the drama on April 17th. The shooting will take place in Beijing.
