TVB Star's SALARIES REVEALED- Charmaine tops all!


2006 is about to end and it is time to release report cards for the year. In the TV industry, two time award winning actress, Charmaine Sheh Si Man was the TVB artist that earned the most money, raking in approximately $7.2 million (HKD).

Bernice Liu Bik Yi secured the #2 spot, earning approximately $5.6 million (HKD) while Roger Kwok Chun On came in third place, with approximate earnings at $5 million.

Gigi Lai Chi and Kevin Cheng Ka Wing also secured spots among the top 5 highest earning TVB artists in 2006. Gigi earned approximately $4.2 (HKD) million, while Kevin may have taken home over $3.8 million (HKD).

Charmaine Sheh
Charmaine moved from Sai Kung to a luxury apartment in Happy Valley and revealed that she had to pay 7 figures in taxes, indicating her exponential income in 2006. Charmaine signed a contract with TVB this year which allows the company to share profits in artists' earned income via outside ventures.

Recently her parents went shopping for a new house and reportedly, they picked out a $5 million (HKD) house in Sai Kung and Clearwater Bay. Bernice hopes that her family and beloved dogs will have a more comfortable space to live in.

Roger Kwok

Since the release of "Life Made Simple," Roger's popularity soared and he secured his position as #1 Brother at TVB. Roger has been selective in choosing his work lately, but he raked in impressive earnings.

$0.6 million- fees for filming movies 《雀聖3》and《一個任務》
$0.6 million- approximate fee for filming TVB series
$1.2 million- 10 overseas shows/ concerts

Total: $5+ million

Gigi Lai

Gigi has only recently signed a management contract with TVB, but she brought good profits to the company (due to the contract stipulation that TVB profit shares artists' income via outside venues). Due to her popularity in China, Gigi has received numerous ad offers. She often goes to China to earn "real money."

$3 million - Moiselle spokesperson, red wine ad, and Bio-Essence ad
$1.2 million- fees for filming TVB series
Total: $4.2 million

Kevin Cheng

2006 was definitely a year of fame and fortune for Kevin. Aside from winning the Best Actor Award, Kevin's fees and market value surged. Lau Ka Cheung became the music instructor of Kevin and he participated in Lau's concert, increasing his exposure and attracting the attention of advertisers. Kevin also released a music album this year, increasing his income.

$0.1 million - fee for "Our Century" & Lau Ka Cheung's concerts

$2.7 million- other fees

wow, go Bernice!!! Can't believe she even won Roger Kwok.. but Charmaine earns a lot more.. hmm..

Of course Charmaine will make the most income for 2006. She was in almost EVERY single TVB project. She got the most income because she worked very hard. But I'm not sure if she is the highest paid actress.

im not too sure about the currency but that means the highest paid TVB star dun even earn 1mil US if im correct.

maybe the others r more outgoing. clubbing, enjoying time, etc. maybe. i'd feel those activities r common for wellknown celebrities, tho one shud skimp on those to save more hard cash. well, up to oneself.

I'm not surprised Charmaine Sheh has a high salary, she's in at least 3 TVB series a year.

without her nausea-inducing exposure on tvb series, do you think that the sponsors will pay her that much.

DId they say anything about the bit players? The veteran actors that been there forever?

The most interesting part of this news is Charmaine just sign a contract that pay TVB whenever she doesn't work for them. She is paying TVB to work on projects outside of TVB. I love that piece of news. TVB just doesn't make enough money with their own series that they feel the need to demand money from their artists. It make you wonder why some artists are stupid enough to sign a contract with TVB.

Because TVB will help Charmaine find outside job. It's like agent fees I guess.

cos tvb has a very good promotional team. and more ppl watch tvb then they would other shows.

i thought Melissa ng would have made it in top five, and so would myolie, raymond and bosco. they seem to be in everything. Bernice on the other had is a total surprise.
