Which year was this adaptation? I thought it was fairly recent, but it's probably before 2015, I guess. I really enjoyed it, though.

2012 , based on 4 chu liuxiang novels (the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th)

i dont watch it yet after disappointed with the 2007 version (ken zhu) which adapted from the first 3 chu liuxiang novel (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)

Not very interesting. Not many fighting scenes though some story-line quite good. Off-hand, I can remember one story whereby the chief bad guy have many impostors so nobody knew who is the real one. However, on the day of marriage, the "chief bad guy" was killed because the bride knew that no man will share his woman with another guy. This series also have the story of Zhang Jiejie? who is CLX's wife. The series also ended with a cliff-hanger as CLX has to decide to choose the exit - one leading to his freedom and the other to his death.

i wonder how many girls had flirted with chu liuxiang in all 8 novels :D

Since this series is based on the later novels, maybe the girl will act as Zhang Jie Jie.

i hope its based on the last novel (the eight book), because it was the only book that never adapted to drama

What was the eighth book about? I always doubt the novel end with a cliffhanger when CLX has to choose one of the two exits.

btw, new adaptation for Xiao Li Fei Dao (flying dagger), start shooting june this year.

Since they're going to remake Xiao Li Fei Dao according to your news or rumors, what do you guys think they have Ding Yu Xi as the main character Li Xun Huan?

Ding Yu Xi sure seems to have lots of talents as being like a lone wolf from his role of Dong Fang Bu Bai. Although I think he needs to at least beef himself up a bit more, perhaps gaining like ten or more pounds? He seems a bit small compared to the new Lin Ping Zhi as I saw from their new modern love drama series.
