Television series Female Prime Minister released its first sneak preview with the theme song MV by Li Yuchun. For the first time since Gong, the drama’s video quality is as clear and rich in colors as the photos. Definitely one of my favorite sets and color schemes in a long time for a historical drama. The North & South Dynasties series is based on the tale of the only female prime minister in Chinese history, and stars Zhao Liying, Chen Xiao, Kimi Qiao Renliang, Yang Rong, GuiGui, etc.

I'm actually looking forward to this for the leads. YZ can butcher this part of history as much as he wants and no one would care since it's not done too many times before.

I love this pair even before this drama has even aired. It actually looks pretty interesting, and 10x more so because of ZLY and CX.
The only drama I've seen ZLY in was NHZGG (I try to erase that from my memory), and she was all sorts of adorable in there. Very pretty, and her voice was lovely (too bad it's going to be dubbed...). I cannot wait to see her as leading lady, as I definitely think she has the acting chops. We'll see how she tackled the serious role.
I haven't seen CX yet, but from the pictures he does have regal air about him. Maybe I'm just getting distracted by his pretty face...
Is it bad I'm seeing Ling GeGe and Yun Ge when I look at their couple pictures? Please, PLEASE YuZheng...don't disappoint me. :(
