Which characters from JY and/or GL would you invite/prefer to go with you?
Between 3-8 others.
The quest has aspects of danger, but you don't need 8 greats/sweeper to do that, 1 or 2 is enough etc.

sweeper monk - for protection
xiao chao - to serve me and to get all of ming cult to back me up
hr for her resourcefulness (i'll tell her we're on a neverending quest to save gj) but if that fails then huo qingtong (hr has an advantage in that she can cook very well)
spt for entertainment purpose...zbt would be too difficult to control
i need to come up with bodyguard #2...any suggestion?

I'd bring GJ and XF as my left and right bodyguards. The rest will be pretty girls. No hairy old men or emo boys.
For me, it will be DFBB, YBQ and LPZ, all of them wearing skirts. The sight of them would cause people to get away from our sight. :D

It would be entertaining to see all of Zhong Wanchou's miserable failed attempts at killing Duan Zhengchun (his crying face is priceless), while Shagu torments Su Xinghe with silly faces for not talking.
Duan Zhengchun would fall in love with Shagu, while Zhong Wanchou will become best friends with Su Xinghe. In the end, Shagu will leave Duan for Zhong, they will live happily ever after, until Su Xinghe accidentally chops off Shagu's ear due to an uncontrollable disease.
How about XF, LHC and HQG, adding SPT or HR to cook?
That would be one merry quest. We will be eating and drinking our way through the quest.
I would add flying dagger LXH, but he is too melancholic. He won't be fun to be with.

GJ=just for being trustworthy I'll bring him along
XLN=my scout for her lightness skill
YG=to keep XLN company

Princess Fragrance=my ultimate weapon if all else fails
