Was the concept of "Retracting Stance At Will" featured in DGSD/SPW?

In the Trilogy, the notion of Retracting Stance At Will is prominently featured. A few examples include:

1. In LOCH, Hong Qigong told Guo Jing that XL18Z should be retractable at will.

2. In HSDS, Xie Xun said that he can retract 7 Maim Fist at will.

3. In HSDS, Miejue demonstrated the ability to suddenly retract her power from her stance, and then unleash it at will.

4. In HSDS, Zhang Wuji retracted his full palm against Zhou Zhiruo.

Was this concept featured in SPW or DGSD? Now, in the 3rd ed of DGSD, I'm aware that Jin Yong made Xiao Feng illustrate the retractable function of XL18Z, but how about from the 2nd ed?

We know that even an expert of SWORD GOD Zhuo Bufan's level was unable to retract a stance once executed, as we saw him plunge the tip of a delicate sword 1 foot deep into a granite pole.

I think LHC retracted his sword to prevent impaling fang sheng's hand.

Abbot Fangzheng was able to retract his palm LDA while in mid-air. In fact, Ren Woxing was counting on Fangzheng to do so during their fight at Shaolin.

Hmm, I wonder how it's physically possible for one to "retract" his palm wind (especially the ones that are 20+ feet out).

Xiao Feng, Murong Bo, Li Qiushui, Sweeper Monk, Zhang Wuji, Xuanming Elders, Zhang Songxi, Yin Tianzheng, etc.

or rather, Jin Yong was so great at phsyics, he developed his own theories and physical laws :cool:
