A SINGAPOREAN beauty is asking her compatriots for a 10-cent donation each - and hopes to become a millionaire within a year, reported Sin Chew Daily.
The 21-year-old woman known as Holly made her intention known through a self-recorded video clip posted on YouTube last week.
In the clip, Holly said she was unemployed and did not wish to work either.
She hoped Singaporeans would help realise her dream of becoming a millionaire by the time she turns 22. Holly even read out her bank account number in the clip.
She, however, did not reveal how she will repay her donors' "kindness".
Her action was widely condemned by online users.
Some censured her for trying to "reap the fruits without sowing the seeds", while others suggested that she undergo a psychiatric check-up.

hi-tech beggar. i think she probably had more luck taking a charity tin can and collect the money, and steal some from the tin can for herself. even then tis too slow - one would have earn alot more by just dwindling in some office and pass some time taking on a few jobs.

time passes faster that way - and theres more money.

waiting for donation wouldnt be that fast even if nobody feel a pinch to drop 10 cents, why would they bother to donate?

its too much of a hassle, for 10 cents!

Hmmm... the bank service fee for tranferring 10cents into her account is so not worth it.

By the way, this phenomenon isn't new either. A woman (in UK I think) used the same way to pay off her credit card debts.

I guess the "ingenious" side is that she's betting on the fact that most people will think "oh, it's just 10 cents" and donate 10 cents or perhaps more - if oh, a few million do this, she'll have accomplished her goal without sacrificing much of anything (except maybe pride or public image). However, stating that she doesn't wish to work and coming off as a lazy, narcissistic ho does set her back a bit. And she's not even that pretty - looks kinda plastic to me.

i think she looked average. not the kind i find gorgeous, but shes not butt-ugly either. she seemed like the kind of girl that might get some popularity with singaporean guys, based on looks.
