Translation Suggestion/Request: 武道狂之詩 (Blood and Steel)
I recently started reading the English scanslation of this Hong Kong comic 武道狂之詩.
The English translation of the title is Blood and Steel.
Found out that this was originally a novel, and later adapted to comic form.
Summary/Description:
Quote:
The story begins with an eradication of Qing-cheng by a group of martial art fanatic from Wudong, whose master and disciples only has one belief – to become the strongest in the world. In order to maintain their supremacy, they take over all the other martial arts group and kill those refuse to yield themselves to them.
Yan Heng, a young swordman in Qing-cheng, was saved by ‘Wudang Hunter' Jing Lie, who also lost his fellows because of Wudong. Being the only remnant of their groups, the two allied and start their journey of revenge.
So far I've read 9 chapters of the comic and I love it, can only imagine the original novel would be 10x better. Please make it happen guys! :)
Swordsman Journey by Gu Long : request for chapters 1-3 and chapters 53 - 59
Will someone please translate " Swordsman Journey" by Gu Long chapters 1-3 and chapters 53 - 59 .... i got the translation from wuxiasociety.org
[ http://wuxiasociety.org/forum/viewto...?t=764&start=0 ] by some wuxia enthusiast Yufeng back in 2007 , who translated the entire story singlehandedly( most commendable http://www.spcnet.tv/forums/images/smilies/hatoff.gif ) ...unfortunately, some constraints probably caused Yufeng to skip these chapters to give us a hurried end in chapter 62( brief synopsis of chapters 1-3 was provided but no clues about chapters 53-59 were given ). Now i have started reading this story ( i'm enjoying it...) , i've reached chapter 25 but i am dreading that the ending will spoil this story for me ... please anyone? http://www.spcnet.tv/forums/images/smilies/doggy.gif
Which wuxia novel would you most like translated?
Although my focus for the moment is on shorter wuxia works, I think it would be nice to get a novel going as well. The question is, which novel?
So tell me, if you could have any one wuxia novel translated, what would it be?
which novel would I like tranlated.
I concur with the littleli. Although I tend to read the novels after they are completed. The first novel I read was Athena's Gu Long novel, The Sword and the Exquisiteness a few years ago. I have been reading the completed translations ever since. I read Fairie Queene's and Foxs' translation of Baifa Monu Zhuan twice. I like them all. If I had a choice I would say, help the translator finish his/her translation.
I have also read the wuxia translations that have been published in book form. These include the Jin Yong and Gu Long books and one book by Huanzhulouzhu. I enjoy them all.
I also learn a lot from the comments made by the readers and translators in the forum. I continue to be amazed by the work done here in this forum in particular and in other forums.
