Don't worry, I'm gonna do a road trip and visit every one of you even if I have to kick your door down or crawl through your back window. I'll promise you'll not be lonely anymore.
Soooo....I will likely be going to Boston in early August. Hopefully this thread will be helpful in terms of what to do in Boston =)
I'll be flying back to Boston this summer to visit my old hometown. Maybe we can grab a cup of coffee.
Looks like this gathering is undergoing a resurrection phase.
Haha I'd like to, but I'm with my parents and it'll be difficult explaining to them why I'm meeting people from the Internet. And they would want to tag along...et.= not good. But hey, if I like Boston this time, maybe some time in the future hahah....
I'm kinda excited about seeing Harvard and MIT. Heh, hear so much about them, might as well see them in real life.
I moved when I was nine so I don't remember much about the sights.
what are good restaurants in downtown boston to have a bday dinner?!?!?!????
it's not really quite downtown, but i've always liked teatro.
http://www.teatroboston.com/
ooh, the place looks pretty nice :)
some questions :tearlaugh :
- how's the environment like? i wouldn't want the whole fancy upscale-piano-playing-in-the-background thing going on (not that i don't like it)..it's just my friends and i are loud and wouldn't wana embarass ourselves haha. i'd prefer somewhere casual like the cheesecake factory (which is my safety restaurant btw -__-)
- how much are the dishes? under ~$30?
- have u been to Typhoon?
anything pemb recommends, I would guess is in the >$100 price range. ;)
not true! :starwars:
entrees are in the 20-30 dollar range. and the place is generally kinda noisy with lots of people chatting. there's no piano in the background. no music at all, i don't think. the place is a converted synagogue. i planned a birthday dinner there one year, and everyone seemed to like it. you can go check out the menu on the site.
i've never been to typhoon but i've heard of it. passed by it lots of times. i generally stay away from "asian bistros." unless it's sushi, i get my asian food from Chinatown, haha.
OOOMG!! i can't reserv. at teatro!! it's all packed that day.. any other suggestions!?!?! OMFG
