Nadia sang live way back when she's still a teenager.

Her singing was a bit raw back then, but u can still hear the rich tone and beautiful voice, unlike now. :(
I like Gackt. Good vocal range.
The members of Beyond - super talented!
For me:
Lea Salonga - her voice is so sweet and CRYSTAL CLEAR! My all-time favorite. :)
Charice Pempengco/Charice - the next international star! She has a powerful voice. I got teary-eyed when I saw her duet with Celine Dion.
Utada Hikaru - I just really love her songs!
i think Ziana zain from Malaysia has the best singing tone. her low note if really full of emotions.. once she sang u can feel it. her high note is amazing. so i think Ziana Zain is one of the best in Asia who got best singing tone
high 5! Beyond rocks!
Although... Ka Kui is really the only one who sounds great vocally. Paul has his own flava, but doesn't have the moving quality of Ka Kui's voice. Steve's voice sounds kinda like kk's, but weaker. Sai Wing... well, his voice isn't really suited for rock.
cass pang without a doubt
I just saw "Chunking Express" last night and loved Faye Wong and the Faye Wong songs in it!
I've heard only very little, but from what I've heard - Roman Tam.
faye wong - cute voice
cass pang - not bad
beyond - not bad
roman tam - don't appeal to me
But how can anyone miss the the 2 voices which i rank best. Lui fong and christopher wong. They may not be as famous as the ones already mentioned but i think both their voice are really unique. Both can sing really high too.
what exactly defines singing tone?
I guess it's about clarity and resonance of your singing voice - and that it shouldn't be confused with voice color.
But I could be totally wrong, I know almost nothing about the terminology...
李小珍 (Lee Siu Jun, Lee Xiao Zhen)
She is the absolute best.

freddie mercury!
I think Roman Tam has...
I would say Anson Hu from the current artists. I quite like Roman Tam's voice as well, and of course Jacky Cheung's.
Kyuhyun and Yesung from Super Junior sound quite heavenly as well. Lee Donghae has a gentle tone -- not necessarily the best, or most versatile voice, but I'm still fond of his voice.
Female current: I'm totally impressed with Jane Zhang Liang Ying 張靚穎 - extremely versatile and can perform many genre with ease; she's born to sing on stage.
I like her better at Chinese songs though, as good as she is at R&B. I can listen to Whitney Houston for that. :p
