That was different. In ROCH thread there were many many pages of teen angst while waiting for the release and then post release were many many pages of cursing at ZJZ and HXM.

That's my point: thread content rather than quantity of posts. Plenty of good series don't even have threads at this forum and/or few/no responses to their threads whereas the opposite may be true for not-so-good ones due to varying target audiences and forum make-up, so thread length is not always reliable basis for judging the quality of a serial.

But hey, once these two threads are merged, this drama will have more follow-up responses and suddenly become that much less rotten based on your criterion!

Zhang Lan Lan was in Jiang Shan Feng Yu Qing, but not in Han Wu Da Di.

I just finished viewing this series. The DVD set was great, the english subtitles was better than Han Wu Da Di's but still not good enough yet. Still need a lot of improvements. Over all they did a great job, great acting from a great cast, beautiful costumes and nice musics, great scenery, computer graphics is better but also still need a lot of improvements, great story plots. But there are quite a few places where they change the real historical facts which I don't quite like. They just focus on Li Shi Min's achievements and his good deeds. Painted him as a perfect emperor. Zhang Sun Wu Ji changed to become a good, open minded and absolute loyal minister. Li Zhi changed to become a wise, filial (by not include Wu Ze Tian into the story), and ideal successor to the throne while Li Ke is more brave than intelligent. Of all the characters, I like Li Shi Min (ofcourse), Li Ke (this is the second role of Nie Yuan I like, the other one was in Da Tang Qing Shi. He did great in both series. A very profound actor.), Cen Wen Ben the most. Princess An Kang I also like her character but that's only toward the later part of the series when she became matured and intelligent. Princess Ah Shi Na Yun was also great. I like the love story between Li Ke and Ah Shi Na Yun the best among all the couples. But I didn't like the fact that they changed the reason for Li Ke's death. So I would give this series an A-.

I just found out that China also have another version of the same story, Zhen Guan Zhi Zhi with 50 episodes long. I wonder which one is closer to the real history?

82 completed viewed episodes. That is alot!

Yes, that's quite a lot. It's only 2 episodes short compare to San Guo Yan Yi and it sure took me a long time to finish. The first half of the series was more interesting to me because Li Ke had much more screen times. I enjoyed both Tang Tai Zong's and Li Ke's scenes. But the more to the end, Li Ke appeared less and less and replaced with stories of other new characters so it was less interesting to me. He only appeared a few short minutes at a time and then disappear again for several episodes. The last 1 1/2 episode was the least interesting to me because it just talk about Li Zhi's succession and of all the characters, I care least of him.

Hi chaule, it sounds like you enjoyed this series for the most part. How does it compare to Han Wu Da Di in terms of acting, pacing, etc.? This seems to be a much grander production than Zhen Guan Zhi Zhi with the cast and all, but what may be more appealing about the latter is the length.

is this an action series or more of drama? any good action scenes? theres got to be action in here besides politics and love right? the casting and the costumes looks nice really want to watch can t wait til its dub in cambodian or vietnamese.
