As for the Shui Ling as MNC thing, I guess it's my bias against the plot, not the actress. Actually, I think GYY would have made a great MNC. GYY's great at playing sad people with sad lives, which is MNC's story.
yes, xln actually looks younger thn her age due to numerous factors, like the ice jade bed, the martial arts she learns, her way of life, etc. i didnt say lyf's young looks doesnt make sense. if fact, if u read my post clearly, i said that lyf's age would be very accurate to those who are faithful to the novel. but for ppl looking at the cast as a whole, lyf may tend to look too young since the other cast ard her looks rather matured for characters described in the novel. in fact, ive never really seen a jy series which have the cast the same or ard the age of the characters in the novel. the actors are always older most of the time, tats why i said if lyf is put with a younger looking cast (which is quite impossible), no one will complain she looks too young.Quote:

ps. i thought shui ling was a great MNC. she was soft yet virtuous, beautiful, naive and tragic. being able to cry her heart out at almost every scene and looking heartbroken with those melancholic watery eyes made her the perfect MNC.
My mistake...I didn't read it carefully. I agree on your comments. I wonder if people will say anything about her age if they cast Hu Ge instead of HXM. Yet, people will criticize her acting anyways. Oh well...Quote:

But if you are saying so, do you think LYF is a bit too young  for the series as the ending part of novel, she is suppose to have like got older, because she had got out of the cave for too long... Anyone here who has watched the series yet???
I wonder when is the serie coming out. Hopefully by the end of 2005. Can't wait for it!
Unlikely :( . According to Sina, the crew expressed frustration and said completion by the end of this year was impossible. Oh well, I have faith it'll be worth the wait!Quote:

But I really like LYF's voice! I think it would be perfect for XLN. Oh well. Things can't be perfect. But even if it will come out on Sina, wouldn't it be a while until it is released on DVD? My wait will be even longer. (Don't have Chinese channel)
Anyone knows if the channel that shows all of the latest Chinese serials is available in Singapore??? And is orderyesasia.com trustworthy???
I have never waited this long for a serial...from the casting since last Sep Nov!!
Do you mean YesAsia? If you are, then I can assure you that it is a trustworthy place. I've been their customer for years. Are you from Singapore? If you are, you can visit the global site. The address is http://global.yesasia.com. I'm from the US, therefore I use their US site.Quote:
