Hairspray Inside the recording Booth
Making off: Hairspray recording 2
Obvious - Westlife (The first piece. I tried looking for this song after cousin's wedding but I haven't had a clue who sung it. Coincidentally, I found it here while getting a review of this very movie!)
The Kingston Trio - "Tom Dooley"
I'm developing a taste for old American folk songs. Many of those songs tell great stories.
Ken, I'm doing overnight tonight - not sleeping LOL - got presentation tomorrow (it's 3.30 AM here - LOL).
Like always ballad/love song for me - hahaha - yay more girlie song ;)
James Morrison - You Give Me Something
"Tom Dooley" is a "love ballad"...well, sort of.
It's a true story about a guy named Tom Dooley, who was a soldier in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War 140 years ago. He met this woman named Laura, whom he fell in love with, but when he discovered that she was already engaged to this man named "Grayson," he stabbed her to death on a mountain.
Dooley was caught and hanged by the authorities. The song is about his last night before his execution.
This song is old...over 100 years. The hit recording by the Kingston Trio dates back to the late 1950s.
Those old folk songs are great.
